say no to car covers. Covers are pretty much only useful for long term storage. If you drive the car even some of the time, the cover will create small scratches and swirls in the paint. Plus during cold weather, any moisture will freeze under the cover creating small and sharp ice particles that will constantly rub up against the paint.

Not only that car covers in the winds we get just scratch the paint & in the rain we get, just causes the paint to mold.

I can understand that, but if there was a storm like with the OP I think I'd put one on.

That's what the car looked like when i pulled after I got home from the family xmas gathering. Minus the iced windshield and with 25 mph winds i just said screw it and ran inside.

I wish I had a camera when I got off work...here in Beaverton the snow came from the ground over my hood...I was mad as he!! when I got off my 12hr shift. Some areas out here by 26 got 30+ inches on the ground.

Last year the wind here was so bad that the snow was blown underneath my car while it was parked. All the snow forced under my car actually got the car stuck, it was packed in so hard under the car it was like it was the wheels were not even touching the ground.

We caught 6-8 inches here in Seattle over the weekend I got to watch a VW Golf try to drive down an unplowed alley and get stuck on the snow it was pushing in front if it’s air dam and piling up under the bumper. He couldn’t even backup like a low slung RWD car could have. FWD FTL!
