Why? Pleanty of stock 2010 GT500's have run 11.60-11.80 with drag tires as the only mod. So I would expect a 2011 GT500 should do the same or better with a decent driver.

Don't laugh, but I thought that was a GT not a GT500 for a second lol.

Yeah no worries, with the stripe delete that's easy to do. lol I edited my post to clarify things a little.
A guy that runs at the same track has a twin to my car and it runs 12.30's with a stock car with the stock rubber. I don't even want to guess at the crappy time I'll run my first time out to the track with my GT500. lol
To say that the GT500's are traction limited is an extreme understatement. On the stock rubber they don't even begin to hook up. The 2011 GT500's with the PP have much better rubber and hook up a little better.

So basically you can be a crappy driver and keep getting your car retuned by Ford?

Sounds like BS to me.

I doubt FORD would want you to take it to the dragstrip and then come back and show them what it ran ..... they would most likely kill the warranty right there for beating it or something ... dealer is an idiot if it is true.

Sounds like a good excuse for a salesman to "test" if your car is running slow. No thanks.

I took mine last week and showed them my consistent 12.3-12.5 second slips and they threw on the FRPP 750hp 2.9L Whipple kit for free and I'm waiting to hit the track this friday. I will report back later.
