That would be pretty sweet.

Seriously,C-3PO's voice sounds like a bad-ass compared to Kitt's. Rest in peace and good riddance.

I Didn't even like the mustang on that show, Everything about this show sucks horribly.

I'm with you,i love Mustangs and i dream of owning a GT500KR,but it's too brutal, too Muscle car and i don't like that they left the Shelby badges on it either. KITT as a '82 TA was sleek and futuristic and the subtle styling changes and lack of badging gave it a unique appearance since no TA's had that front styling, and also gave you a sense that wasn't a Pontiac but a one of one type of car. That car was also the right car for that show at the time,to go from the '81 TA to the '82,it must have seemed the new car was from year 2015,it was that different and advanced looking from the '81,in styling terms anyway.
The original KITT,just by himself, was incredible and all kidding aside,i liked his voice, the original show sucked though,he deserved better, just like the General Lee deserved a better show around him also.

It failed for everything you guys already mentioned, but you all have missed the main point of the original:

When it debuted in 1982, there was no electronic, digital, LED anything on any vehicle an American civilian could purchase (if you were in the military, they had this stuff in the late 1960's). I think the closest thing might have been the electronic climate control on Cadillacs which displayed the temperature electronically (Cady didn't have the digital gauge option untill 1984, the same year it also debuted on the Corvette), but the gauges were still analog.

To see a car with a completely electronic gauge readouts, with two nicely integrated TV screen monitors (at the time, any car with a TV had it rather poorly screwed into the dash without integrating it), LEDs everywhere including the gas pedal, and the friggin car talked..... and drove itself..... had ejector seats...... and a turbo boost that made every nitrous kit at the time seem like child's play.

What I'm saying is the original was so hugely successfull in part due to the technology and effects used that was revolutionary and ahead of it's time.

Today, KITT looks just like any other Cadillac or Lexus with radar cruise control, HUD, navigation, you name it. So, to see them attempt to recreate it all is just lame.

The only reason I watched it was the half naked chicks every episode also.... Hey lets go solve a crime on the beach or kitt's cooling system breaks and lets get nakked to cool down. Gotta love those two classics.. I knew it was in trouble when they were already referencing KARR>

Here's a reason to watch at least a minute of the new KITT. Well, kind of. Apparently, while appearing at a PR event in Toronto (damn Canadians), someone jumped into the car when it was left idling on the street and took off in it. Here's one video.

Now to me, it sounds and looks like a publicity stunt, but who knows.
