I bet that combo would run NA stock timing @ 6psi. At 12 psi it would likely be plenty safe on 19 degrees. 20 psi I could see 16-17 degrees. Reading the timing mark on the spark plug ground strap will tell you for sure.

King I appreciate your input!
So this is why I’m a little cautious and just trying to figure it all out gradually. I already have kr showing up at 17 degrees of timing. There are multiple things that could be contributing to it. For example I believe I have my commanded shift time too low for my 1-2 shift. There is a lot of kr right after it. I also started this pass with 109 iat and finished around 130. It was very hot with a lot of idling up to staging and waiting to run. My wideband is also suspect as it has been reading leaner than my narrow band factory O2’s, maybe I’m richer than I think I am. A new one should be here this weekend to try out. I guess what I’m sharing is that this is all just apart of the process of figuring it all out.

Its easy to get false knock. Found a clamp on my system that was touching the strut tower that i think was contributing to false knock under WOT.
Also have one of those metal spark plug boot protectors that may be rattling on the exhaust manifold heat shield... Point being, KR may not always be real knock.... with a twin turbo, i could imagine theres LOADS of ways false knock could be introduced with all the new plumbing.

Thank you all for the congratulations. Here is a video I made from two weeks ago where we both won and then one from this past weekend. Lost first rd but did manage to go a new pb on the surface.

A little late to the party here, but congrats! That turbo setup is killer.
Those are some fast cars you beat! Also, those bronze wheels are SICK. |

Congrats man... Awesome job!
Not alot of NoPrep talk on these boards for the 6th gen it seems. What tire/pressure combo are you running. Any setup tips? I was running the 17" ET R combo for awhile but switched to the DBR's now... On horrible surfaces or bad roads and water only passes I have tried some weight at the back wall of the trunk with decent results. But I am NA still so i like to avoid the extra weight when possible. Thanks!

I run the Hoosier quick time pro, most of the events I run require a dot tire. They’re also mostly really bad surfaces where I need as much as I can get. I would like to try a dbr at some point though. Currently they’re set at 15lbs and I actually don’t have any weight in the back. I launch the car like it’s on motor, revving to 1400rpm and then smacking it. It 60’s like crap (1.9X)because it falls on its face till boost comes in but then it takes off like a freight train. I’m fortunate that this event most people can’t 60 very hard anyway because the surface is so bad. The car would go 1.6-1.7 on the street on motor before turbos. Back then I would run up to 2 70lb bags of sand in the trunk. Anymore and I felt like it squatted the rear end too much causing too much negative camber and poor contact patch.
