The engines are Identical and a direct swap, worse case the timing cover and cam sensor will need to be swapped from the original engine. I have engines in stock and would take yours on trade give me a call. 203-753-7223 Ted.

The car is far from totaled and no way I would buy that crate engine.
First, I would find a different shop. 2nd, you could rebuild or buy a short block, recondition heads and supercharger for a lot less than 16k. 3rd, If you want to keep it basically stock I would do DOD delete, LT5 factory cam, and port the supercharger while it's getting rebuilt. I think you could get it back up and running reliably for less than half of what you were quoted to install that crate engine.
