hard to tell...horrible video but most AR15s have a T handle behind the chamber, not a charging handle on the right side. Highly doubt it's an actual M16

I'm just tossing out another long gun with a side operating handle; M1A has that type of action, and the round that came out looks rather large although that too can be a trick of the cam, and after all, you can get .458 ARs

What drives me nuts is that every news article I read says this is a Bushmaster. That's pretty specific.

Just to clear up the last page of confusion. The killer had six guns in total with him. The Bushmaster and 2 pistols were on him in the school. Three others were in the car out front.

On another side note, it's terrible that you guns guys are getting the shaft. I'm not a gun guy,I've never ever shot one, but guns did NOT cause the massacre. A crazy 20 year old asshole did. The guy's father who owns the company that makes the Bushmaster lives in Newtown. I wouldn't be suprised if they run him out of town. There was nothing at all besides holding class in a prison that could have prevented that. The people on the news are idiots. I'd like to get a gun and shoot out my tv's.


I hope that I was able to clear they gun in the trunk deal up. Good luck getting everything you want without getting bent over and hopefully all the "take guns away" nuts don't bother you to much.

A shotgun is so different from a rifle that if it was a shotgun everyone there would have known the difference but everyone is saying it is some short of rifle.

I think you know we DO care about what happened, and would love to fix it so it NEVER happens again..... Thanks for understanding our concerns, we have to speak out since the other side is so adamant about 'new laws'.

My thoughts and prayers are still with the parents and friends of the victims :(

The latest release from law enforcement officials is 5 guns total not 6. 4 handguns was confirmed found on his person in the school. The "Bushmaster" was in the trunk of his car, not in the school. The "official" gun count and locations seem to change on a daily basis so I wouldn't be surprised if this changes tomorrow.
