I gotta agree with you.....Most of you guys here are pretty good

I would also add that the C7 Z06 forum is pretty sensitive also .......LMFAO

The Hellcat is a badazz car and am sure you will see plenty of low 11 time slips. The cars are just now getting into everyones hands. When the weather breaks in the NE is when you will see the slips come out.

Medisin just reads magazines all day. Magazine are usually off from my experience. Now you have a car running well under the times indicated from Mopar it's only because of race gas! I don't think race fuel would pick up that much time without a tune to support it. Like I said before we will have to wait and see once the cars start hitting the track. Soon!!
Honestly, I love the HellCat but my first car at 16 was a BB Challenger so I have a soft spot for them. You make an interesting point and I would say that the fuel used could possibly make HUGE DIFFERENCE. Look at all the threads on tuning amd how much horsepower jumps as better fuel is added. I can say from my own experience that running 94 when I can get makes a definite difference in my car. This summer I will get some C100+ octane fuel and try drag racing mine butmy guess is with good slicks and 109 I wouldn't have to much trouble breaking 12's.

What is clear from all the numbers being thrown around here is from a dig depending on traction any 3 of these big guy muscle cars could win amd it'll be driver dependant.

I'm more concerned about what they failed to disclose. Are the results repeatable?

Which is why I posted times for the ZL1 and GT500 too. What do you think the ZL1 or GT500 would run on a well-prepped track?

There have been far more than three Hellcats at drag strips in the last 6 months. Where are all these basement 11 timeslips hiding???

Of course traction is an issue. It's a 700hp car on 275's. Another testament to Dodge's failure to provide a proper platform for such power.

NONE of the times below are on a prepped surface. ZL1 and GT500 times are even better on a prepped surface. What's your point?

Car&Driver:
Hellokitty: 0-60, 3.6sec; 1/4mile 11.7 @ 126mph; 4488lbs automatic
---GT500: 0-60, 3.5sec; 1/4mile 11.8 @ 125mph; 3891lbs
Hellokitty: 0-60, 3.9sec; 1/4mile 11.9 @ 124.0mph; 4468lbs
------ZL1: 0-60, 4.1sec; 1/4mile 12.3 @ 119mph; 4120lbs

MotorTrend:
---GT500: 0-60, 3.8sec; 1/4mile 11.6 @ 125.7mph; 3871lbs
Hellokitty: 0-60, 3.7sec; 1/4mile 11.7 @ 125.4mph; 4449lbs automatic
------ZL1: 0-60, 3.9sec, 1/4mile 12.2 @ 116.6mph; 4051lbs

Edmunds:
---GT500: 0-60, 3.9sec, 1/4mile 12.1 @ 120.6mph; 3870lbs
-----ZL1: 0-60, 4.1sec, 1/4mile 12.4 @ 116.0mph
Hellokitty: 0-60, 4.8sec; 1/4mile 12.5 @ 118.8mph; 4454lbs

Road&Track:
---GT500: 0-60, 3.5sec, 1/4mile 11.7 @ 128.1mph
Hellokitty: 0-60, 3.9sec, 1/4mile 12.0 @ 124.8mph
------ZL1: 0-60, 3.9sec, 1/4mile 12.1 @ 119.9mph
What's up with those Edmunds numbers? The Hellcat and GT500 must have been pulling a trailer. Look at those trap speeds!?! Interesting that the ZL1 is the only one whose speed in the realm of reality... This is why you have to take magazine times with a huge grain of salt.

It's better now, but you should've seen it back when the '13 GT500 dropped. The hate was strong on that one. Every thread that mentioned the GT500 was combined and buried in one long, censored and undecipherable thread. Even corvetteform hasn't gone that far, they just moved everything mentioning the Viper down to the "other cars" section.

We'll see how it goes here when the GT350 drops, but the moderation here lately has been just that; moderate. So I have faith.

I'm sure that those owners really would want to put (nonexistent) nitrous kits on untuned motors.

[devil's advocate]A dry 75-shot may be fine without a tune. Whether a small spray like that would get them to 133?[/devil's advocate]

Funny how the Hellokitty fan club talks about being drag radials away from the 10's. Never did they mention that drag radials also require extra drive shafts. Clearly the development dollars for the Failcat went between the front struts.

That's awesome, in a good and bad way .

Drag radial equals no warranty. Correct?
