It is a dreary rainy day again here today. Yuck. We need some sunshine. Everyone is starting to be solemn & grumpy. Even all my preschoolers were like that yesterday & not even my silliness could snap them out of it. Another 5-6 days of this & Seasonal Affective Disorder may set in in full force. Another school system in the area is closed today due to flu. I am doing everything I can to avoid being one of the victims. You guys stoke up those immune systems & try to get/stay well. Have a good day all.

Thanks for the condolences. It was a hard night... in addition to being upset about Penelope, I was really angry at my husband. He was a blubbering mess - he started crying the minute I got home, didn't stop til well after we returned from the vet. Meanwhile, I had to do everything - make the decisions, get her in the SUV, drive, talk to the vet - EVERYTHING. He wouldn't even move away from her so I could hold her while she was being put down.... I didn't get to shed a tear til I we were back home, and she was MY dog. I met him while I was walking her in the park. Now our marriage is over, and she's gone... irony at it's best. :-(

And, on top of it, I couldn't get a hold of a friend who has been really sick, and I was worried to death - finally got a text about 9:30, but was imagining ICU and ventilators before that....
