I wasn't here for music night last night.... but all the comments about drive-ins has inspired me. So here is my contribution to music video night.....

Good morning to all. Sun is out and it is finally above the freezing point. Hopefully some of the 12+ inches of snow that's on the ground will melt now. I have an appointment in Buffalo NY (162 miles one way) on Saturday and I want to take the SS. Got my fingers crossed as far as the weather holding out for that day.

You may be in luck it's supposed to be sunny and 40ish for the next few days with some rain after that. Saturday is calling for 55 and cloudy so the roads should be snow free. Still lots of salt on the roads though so mine will be staying in the garage.

Hi all! I'm a little late for Monday music, I love classical gas and so I thought I'd throw this one at ya. This was our wedding music, we both love Mark Knopfler. This is great for after a hard day's work, when you got your feet up and enjoying your adult beverage.

I'm hoping that Friday's rain cleans off most of the salt residue for Saturday's trip.

The Big M Restaurant and Drive In were very close to me when I still lived in Maryland. It was THE cruise spot, and brought them in from several surrounding states! When anyone said they were going to cruise, it was to the Big M.

Benjies was the other drive in still in operation during the 90's, but a bit further from me, and they did not hold car cruises.

Towards the end of the 90's, some bad business decisions along with letting the building and grounds become run down, the Big M went out of business. It is very sad to see the place today, with the overgrown theater area, half of the screen missing, and the restaurant and cruise area overgrown and full of pot holes.

Benjies is now the only existing drive in still in operation in Maryland.

I don't think there are any here in AZ.

I think my kids would really love the social aspect of drive-ins because they love to tailgate. I went to a drive in while I was in Barstow, CA in June. My son actually enjoyed it, I think. There's also a drive in close to me in Tiger, GA. They love hosting car clubs.....great fun. I love me some Skynyrd.........next week, here it comes!

Good evening No doing fine medically but emotionally a bit wore out. Lost 3 Friends in three separate incidents over the Holidays. Bike Wreck here in FL then Plane Crash in San Diego,Heart Attack in DC. Wanted to spare everyone the Drama with the Holidays going on.
Got another good letter from FAA and another step closer to getting the feathers back. Have a physical to pass next week and then a formal Review begins. Hoping for a great 2013.

I know what you mean. Just lost a friend last week that worked for me back in our ATC days 25 years ago. Younger than me with teenage kids...:( Wish I could put in a good word at CAMI when they start your review. We have tunnels that connect several of the main buildings here on the Aeronautical Center (they're primarily used for tornado shelter when/if the time comes) and I walk them for a 30 minute exercise walk every day and pop in CAMI every once-in-a-while. See a lot of them walking down there too, but I don't know anyone that works there. Good luck!!

I'm hanging in there... busy enough at work that I hardly have time to do or think about anything else. Ladybug's still in the Camaro Protection Program, and I miss her.....:( But at least she's safe
