3.91s....after reading some threads about people who have LFX that put them in it may be a bad idea but I'll find out in a couple weeks when I hit the track. |

I honestly don't know how that could be the case. unless they are just spinning at the line.

Nah, it's the smartest thing you've ever done in your life. I've got'em and this car is absolutely wild. I didn't really feel much difference during the break-in period, but the first time I put my foot down my hands were still shaking from the adrenalin rush 30mins later. It's not going to help you at all at the dragstrip, but the track should be fun. |

Whoops. Haha, it's all good though. That setup is pretty much evenly matched with a 2.92 on our cars. 3.91 pulls all the way through the 330' but then you kinda just run out of gear. And it's right at that moment the the 2.92 gearing begins to hit it's stride. You'll trap in 4th gear. But, you will pull on a stock V8 all the way through that 330' mark. And that, my friend, feels good. |

No, your stock 2LS shaft bolts right up. But it won't hurt to have a beefier driveshaft section. The back half of the SS shaft is all you can actually use. The whole SS shaft isn't long enough to span the gap between the Trans and rear end on our cars. I'd go ahead and use it since you have it, but you could also use the stock shaft and return the SS for money back... For more mods lol

Well I have a 2LT idk if that makes a difference haha. Doubt I can return it seeing how I bought it off a member here and I bet they are happy to have gotten rid of it. It's alright I would much rather prefer to have it and not need it than need it and not have it considering it is my DD. I was thinking last night how much of a pain it would prob be to remove the spindle from all the suspension pieces but I remember I practically removed everything from it over time with various mods I install so it shouldn't be too hard to get those bolts loose again.

Nah the v6 trim level and trans doesn't make a difference. I think the only reason the SS shaft is smaller is because of the bigger engine, and maybe the trans is longer too. Lol, yeah you've got a pretty good knuckle buster ahead of you. You'll love the end result though.
