I thought the Z06 held pretty close, and let off at the end every time.

In a straight line they seem pretty evenly matched. I'm wondering if it's a simple question of gearing since the Z06 has a P/W advantage on paper.

No heat soak excuse according to the driver of the Z06. The driver of the Z is the first to get his car into the 10's (10.93@ a little over 128mph)...he was on drag radials for that 10 sec pass.

He was on stock rubber in the race against the Hellcat

I can't find it online but the new Car & Driver got 11:40s @ 128-mph out of the Hellcat. That is a screaming mph.

Straight nasty!!! Gm really dropped the ball on the z06 imo. Even though it's a all around car it should still pull harder then it does given the up/aero/weight.

Yeah, this isn't really surprising. Its looking like roll races aren't a ZO6 strong point. If you look at the C&D tests, the ZO6 really falls off over 130. The Hellcats 2 seconds ahead by 160. And its not the aero, this is a stage1 car, so the Hellcats actually at a disadvantage here.

Still hard to believe a car almost 1000lbs heavier can pull one like that though.

Lol probably having a hard time finding a stock one!!!! But i do think the hellcat will edge it out. Between the gt500 and the hellcat it really puts a dark cloudbovverbthe camaro camp as far as outright accelleration is concerned. I'm tired of the vette holding it back. Clearly dodge doesn't care at all.
