Not to purposely change the subject, but I wanted to post up some pics of what I have been working 1-2 hours a day on. Still have lots to do, but it has come a long way from taking it out of the box.

Where did you get that model? I would love to get one for myself. Looks great so far.

They have several different ones at Michael's (at least they did the last time I was there).

Got this one at Hobby Lobby. At the time, they had three of them. Michael's would probably have them too. Hobby Lobby, at least here, has the best model car selection.

Thanks I have never seen a hobby lobby where I live but we do have Michaels. My sister in law said there is one here in Florida near her house. I will probably take a ride tomorrow to see what they have.

Quote Dianeokie: Jan, especially for you. I'm proud of you for learning to embed videos and I'll be thinking about you on Thanksgiving. I know you'll be missing some at your table, as will I, but I know we'll be thankful for what we have!

Thanks For thinking of me & remembering Dianne and I hope you managed to find some joy in your holiday too. A big thank you to all my friends here. I know this holiday was especially tough for a few of us as it was for me. I tried really hard to focus on all I had to be thankful for and I truly am..........................but despite my best efforts, I was sad all day. It was nice to be able to check in here intermittantly to distract myself. We spent time with my husband's parents, brother & brother's son (who is 6 mo older than my son). Mike's Dad (retired, Sgt Maj, spec forces, highly decorated) is not doing well. He was a paratrooper and made many, many jumps (in one of which his shute did not open), was the only survivor in his unit in one battle, had some serious war related injuries and suffers PTSD. He has had terrible back problems for a long time and had back surgery a few years ago. He has been worsening gradually since then. Following his recent MRI he was told there is nothing more they can do for him. He is now having a really hard time walking, using a walker & in constant pain. I feel sooooooooo badly for him. Mike's Mother is doing okay but still suffers the aftermath of a bad car accident & just gets weaker and weaker. We are just keenly aware we won't have them around too any more years either. For me, I'm just glad it is over. I hope all of you made it through the day with minimum sadness and with joy and love.

We're doing our turkey dinner today. My stepson was at his mom's yesterday, and insisted that we wait for him to do our dinner. (he likes my cooking!) So, I did some baking yesterday and made my cranberry sauce. Today, I've been up since the crack of dawn - turkey is in, and everything is prepped except the potatoes. I hate peeling potatoes.
Jan, I'm sorry you had a rough day yesterday. Hugs.

Our holiday was a little sparse yesterday too. We didn't have my mother-in-law or my son with us so we only had four people at the table. But it was a good day just the same. I think we'll have all 6 of us at Christmas. I did miss those who have passed on though. It makes me think of something I told you all about some time ago.... make a video of your loved ones. Sit down with a list of questions as long as your arm. Get them to talk about everything that has been important to them in their life. When they are gone you will treasure the results. I did that with my parents and my wife's parents. I've shown the video's to my g-daughter. She was only 3 when my dad passed so she doesn't remember him very well. The video brings him to life for her.
But I like to look at it this way.... one day we're going to have one heck of a celebration on the other side when we can all get together again!

Good evening crew. I spent a lazy day at home today while all the crazies were going wild in the stores. I went through all the pics I have taken since I got my Camaro & of course including ones of Mike's, club events, etc, and loaded up an SD card for a photo frame in the garage. I put over 400 pics on it. I was pretty pleased with it when I finished. I must say I have taken some nice pics! It made me wish there was a way I could load up the slideshow of them here. Of course I could make a Moviemaker show with them but a) that would take a long time & b) I'm still not sure there is a way I could use it on-line. Then I made some yummy cornbread. I was going to make a batch of fudge but I think I'll save that for tomorrow.

Well my vacation is just about over we will start the long drive back to NY from Florida tomorrow morning. We had a nice time visiting my sister-in law and her family and the weather was a little cool for Florida but still nice and sunny and I was able to ride top down every day. Here is one picture we took on Monday of the Camaro near the Sunshine Skyway bridge in St Petersburg. I am going to miss the sunny weather and Camaro as it will be going into winter storage shortly after we get home.

Had a good day today
Father in law came over, the 4 of us pigged out, then watched some GREAT football (Apple Cup, in which my WSU Cougars beat the UW Huskies in overtime ), then I went for some Christmas shopping. Not only did I get some good gifts, I also scored a pair of cute boots for myself!
Now I'm ready for bed, and it's not even 7pm....

That looks like it was a very good day and it is a nice pic zandron263. I'm glad you got to enjoy some warmish days with your Family & Camaro. It is sad that your Camaro will soon be in storage. I feel bed for folks who live in cold enough places that their Camaros have to go ingo storage. I even feel bad for the Camaros. Have a safe journey home.

Glad you had a nice day LBM. So where's the pic of the boots?

Once again, we were the lucky ones chosen to be the first to see a friends mods. We got to be present when Ladybumblebee picked up Junebug from a shop near our home. Just a couple weeks ago, we got to see Ladybug's new look. Can't reveal anything about what it was; you'll have to wait for her to post it herself. But I can say it looks real cool and different!

Hey gang!

I finally completed the major detailing of my wife's car that I started Thanksgiving morning after I placed the turkey in the oven. It got the entire Adam's treatment, and it looks better than ever. Seems I detail her car every Thanksgiving day.

After completing her car, grabbed a shower and we went to the movies and saw Skyfall (James Bond) and had a late dinner at the 5 and Diner. We finished with a trip to Home Depot for some Christmas lights. Neighbors have gotten an early start on exterior decorating, and I'll be putting up lights in the coming weekends.

Zandron, EXCELLENT photo!
