(Yes, I know better than that!)

Reminds me of the time was on the Hotel Van headed to the Airport after a long SLC layover. We're talking back and forth and the Van Driver asked if we did anything exciting and I said as a joke "We went fishing but sure didn't catch any fish. Bummer Waste of a day " One of our flight attendants with us says seriously "You do know there are no fish in the Great Salt Lake"
Guy was flying with said " See told you dumbazz" Put the and got a good laugh at 5AM.

Time to take the trash out and get caffeinated. See you all later.

Happy Monday!
I'm up early so I can go in early to catch up on stuff I missed by taking the day off Friday, and to get ahead on things I will miss when I take off for the cruise. 90% packed and ready to go. Ripped the house apart on Saturday looking for Rob's bow tie, ended up going out and buying a new one. So, what do I find when I'm packing last night??? Guess I have a bow tie to return today too....

I'll second that, hard to decide whether to post on the actual day or the observed holiday. I want to thank all vets and active duty for their sacrifice and the sacrifice of the families. I'm here in desert California packing up my son as he's now retired and starting a new life with a long trek to Alaska with his wife, baby and a U-Haul..........

Dianeokra and family - Godspeed.

For everyone's laugh today...

A RETIREE'S LAST TRIP to a Dept store...

Yesterday I was at my local Fred Meyer buying a large bag of Purina dog chow for my loyal pet, Jake, the Wonder Dog and was in the check-out line when a woman behind me asked if I had a dog.

What did she think I had, an elephant?

So because I'm retired and have little to do, on impulse I told her that no, I didn't have a dog, I was starting the Purina Diet again. I added that I probably shouldn't, because I ended up in the hospital last time, but that I'd lost 50 pounds before I awakened in an intensive care ward with tubes coming out of most of my orifices and IVs in both arms.

I told her that it was essentially a Perfect Diet and that the way that it works is, to load your pants pockets with Purina Nuggets and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungry. The food is nutritionally complete so it works well and I was going to try it again. (I have to mention here that practically everyone in line was now enthralled with my story.)

Horrified, she asked if I ended up in intensive care, because the dog food poisoned me. I told her no, I stopped to Pee on a Fire Hydrant and a car hit me.

I thought the guy behind her was going to have a heart attack he was Laughing so hard.

Fred Meyer won't let me shop there anymore. Better watch what you ask retired people. They have all the time in the World to think of crazy things to say.

Slow day for me too... a lot of people think we're closed today. I wish we were busier, 'cause my mind keeps wandering. I am sooooooo distracted today!
