I have a sad stroy to tell.... I spent the 30 years prior to Oct 2008 working for Eastman Kodak Co. For most of that time they had a really good benefits program. Then they decided that the co. wasn't doing well so in order to save some money they changed health insurance companies. The new insurance, which we still have, is the pits. When I got laid off in 2008, they called it a retirement since I had 30 years with the co. As a retiree my health insurance continued, albeit they charged me more for it than an active employee. In Jan this year Kodak filed chapter 11 with the courts in NY. Three weeks ago they petitioned the court to allow then to completely drop medical ins., life ins., dental ins. and long term disability insurance for retirees. The court is expected to rubber stamp the request. So, sometime prior to the first of the year I've either got to find affordable health insurance or I've got to become another of the uninsured. I'm kinda bummed.

That stinks Jay........it's sad what companies are able to do when the declare bankruptcy! Went through that with my late husband 's(and also deceased father's) company. Things aren't like they used to be

I like all kinds of music, except really vulgar hip hop, some jazz is little too "whatever" for me, and don't like really dark heavy metal. Country songs tell a story most of the time. You should read the lyrics, even if you don't like the music..............

Good morning. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Cold & windy here. Gatlinburg is getting snow measured in in feet now but not as bad as other places. The volunteer state is of course living up to it's reputation. There were already lots of tree & power workers staged & ready before the storm. Now Red Cross & other emergency assistance crews are deploying. Disaster relief crews are also getting fired up. Stay safe. HAGD

Disaster Medical Assistance Teams have already been deployed to the east coast, and the one I belong to has been put on alert. I won't be able to go, but if you're in an area where one is stationed, and see people iin shirts that say DMAT on the back, say thanks - they have dropped everything to go help out....
