Well I wanted to post the Depeche Mode version of Route 66. But I went to you-tube, and they all suck! Either they are somebody's remix, or it uses the original music, with the stupidest videos I've ever seen. Non car people should not be allowed to touch this song. There's nothing dumber than some limey's interpretation of the song! Couple that with all the black & white cut scenes of "artsy" stuff...arrgh!

The best I can do is post the one I find least offensive. Much as I like "Behind the Wheel" leading into the song, I don't like the idea of making everybody endure eight minutes of it in total. So feel free to skip ahead to the good stuff.



That settles it! I'm going to get a Go Pro, make a run down Route 66, and show these knobs how it's done in America! Add one more to the bucket list! (Oh yeah, that one was already on there, just added the video requirement.)

Lucky you though, you're a lot closer to the best part of it! I've traveled part of it through AZ some years ago, but never really got to explore it like I'd want to. Someday. I've got the perfect car for it. Just the time and money thing I haven't quite figured out yet...

Good morning crew. I did not have much time for vid Monday. I was still trying to download video done by my friend while we were working on Ruby. I never was able to load any of his pics. His camera must have mega pixels. It took from 8:00 last evening until like 1:00 AM to load the video & my computer would not do much else while it was loading. I surender at this point. Another chilly morning here but supposed to get up to mid 70's. Saturday it is supposed to be a high of 75 & drop to mid 40's that night. Perfect for an evening of drag racing! HAGD all.

Someone fell asleep early last night Ah but it feels good. Guess there was quite a comeback on MNF. Was flicking in between MNF and Diners Drive Ins and Dives. It was 24-0 and Guy was in an Italian Joint then next thing ya know it's 6AM Ready to go.

Good morning all.....
So tired.... The conference call that I went in early for on Friday was re-scheduled for yesterday. So, I go in early, get on the call, and our CEO sounds "mechanical" for lack of a better word. Nobody can understand a word he's saying, emails start popping up like crazy, our Chief of IT says is something with the phones, so we need to reschedule..... AGAIN. As long as it's not on Thursday, when I have breakfast plans with a friend, I don't care, but this getting up super early for no reason thing is killing me....

Ooooohhhhh! Almst forgot to mention.... I got a pattern for the leather seats, and colored out what parts I want red, and will be bringing that in after work today to get the ball rolling on a firm estimate (I think they'll have to send the pattern to Katzkin and get the estimate) HAPPY DANCE!!! Maybe it can be my Christmas present???

I've traveled on 98% of Rt 66 in AZ. The parts I have not are remote access areas along I-40, and I'll do those sooner or later. The sights are awesome!

Any Hawaii 5-0 (new series) fans out there?? Apparently this season they now have 2 different Silver Camaros to use in their scenes; a 2LT and an SS. In some scenes they're highway driving in the 2LT and then come driving up to where they're stopping in the Silver SS (mail slot clearly visible)!!! Then in some of the car interior shots, one angle clearly shows the SS on the headrest and another angle No SS on the headrest!! What is their props manager doing??? You'd think they would have learned from the old Hawaii 5-0 where they really bloopered with using some stock footage of a 2 door Merc in some wideshot driving scenes and McGarrett pulling up in a newer 4 door Merc!! Looks like I'll need to pay them a visit when I head back over that way in February....

I'm a big fan and I noticed the 2 silver Camaros last night. Isn't this the first season they appear to be using two silver Camaros?
