go buy some caliper paint and paint the damn things the color you want.

their "theory" that they reduce caliper temperature is absurd. they are comparing the temperature of the actual caliper to the cover. I'd like to see them do the same test and measure the caliper temperature with the cover on, not measure the temperature of the cover.

Caliper covers = rice

Then one of the ladies mentioned that she was just broken up with by her boyfriend and the same 20 dudes where right there with "I'd never break up with you", "He's an idiot", "how could anyone leave you", etc. Apparently none of these guys has dated an attractive girl before, because boy howdy "Hot" and "crazy" only mix well for a few weeks (I'm not criticizing the lady coming out and saying she was dumped, just the guys' sleazy reaction).

Again, I say good riddance. Cars and hot girls go together like peanut butter and jelly, but when we can practically see the Vasoline dripping off these dude's comments, it's time for that thread to die.

no... you dont. all the "appeal" of it goes out the window after the first month, trust me. Just like GTA said in the ladies thread, there are times where we wish we werent moderators so we could just post whatever the hell we want like everyone else and not have to worry about cleaning anything up.


one of the big things people dont see is that hundreds (if not thousands) of posts have been removed from the ladies thread by us. all you guys see is us closing the thread "because of 1 picture". you dont see all the other stuff that lead up to the closure.

then we have to explain why we did what we did. We have a personal policy about being as visible and understanding to the community as we possibly can. But at the end of the day, we have to make the decision that might piss off a thousand people but will keep things from blowing out of hand in the future.

its always easier to nip it in the bud early on rather than wait for the nuclear bomb of reported posts come in.
