Nice job finding the worst time. Do they say if its an auto or manual in the article? Most articles ran a 13.1 with the L99...not the ls3. And being that the edmunds test video shows 13.0...this is just kind of strange.
Videos are blocked here at work and I got the time from the frst drives section, same as the GT, since they were both the first drives, I thought that was fair. Also the SS is a 6 speed. Also, Edmunds are the worst drives in the magazine business, especially it seems when they are driving a vehicle for the first time.

The Camaro isn't even at full throttle... This race looks like a 87 Bronco stepping up to a Ferrari F5. Such an obvious setup, wouldn't worry about it.

All pure nonsense. This stuff need to be compared model year vs model year. Simply put the 2010 Camaro destroys the 2010 Mustang. All you Mustang folks need to thank GM for forcing Ford to finally step it up instead of releasing the same dang car every single year.
GM set the bar high and Ford answered back nicely with both the v8 and v6 (performance wise at least) but until GM gets to swing back and we have a 2011 Camaro to put up to the competition it is all just meaningless. Won't take much in the 2011 Camaro to easily send Mustang back into hiding for another year.

Good driver vs bad driver.

Amen, mano...let's tune out the static until the show officially begins.
While I've had my share of Mustangs and can appreciate ALL american muscle, the majority of these guys begin to sound like Charlie Brown's teacher after awhile. Wakk Waaak Wak Waak Wak!

The chances for any powertrain changes for 2011 is basically 0 (only exception MAY be 3.73 gears), also there will be a few months where the 2010 Camaro will be competing directly with the 11 Mustang for sales and peoples money. I also don't believe we've seen the best the GT has to offer yet.

2nd race looked alittle closer-

But the Mustang still had the lead... staged? I dunno.. but I wouldn't be suprised if it pulls on a new Camaro. :(

he car is selling, it just doesn't make any sense for GM to do major drivetrain changes on a car 1 model year old that would cost them money to redesign and recertify and eat into the profits of a profitable model. If it ain't broke don't fix it. 2012 may be a whole different story though, but the Camaro is not exactly known for powertrain options changing often, the Last Camaro kept the LS1/3.8 V6 basically unchanged for 4 model years, same with the LT1 before, L98 before that, etc, etc, etc
