Good evening all.
Hey Sky Man, Doncha miss living here? The storms we had a couple of weeks ago arrived late one week night. Makes me glad I live in the near NW just this side of Summerlin on relative high-ground. Unofficially we had about 2" in my neighborhood in about 90 minutes.

What was weird about this storm is that it blasted the whole valley rather than being localized; the low areas south of Trop both west and east of I-15 took the brunt of the flooding

Look what FedEx brought me today!
Thanks Rick; I was working from home today waiting for a UPS delievery. I planned to zip over to the office at lunch time, but just about the time I stuck my head out the door, the thunder started and the rest is now history. So I just worked from home for the the day.

You be careful too. That storm is sliding down the river though Black Canyon down to Laughlin and Needles, CA.

What toys are those? Looks like yard stuff.

Linda, you be careful. I was at school there in Vegas once when we got about 2" in a couple of hours. By the time school was out the rain had quit. But I had to get home on my little motorbike. Every street I tried to take looked like the flooded one in your picture. Took quite a long time to get home that day. Yikes.

Yeah think we had that talk before. Was stuck in that one way back that made the news when they had to rescue the rescuers by helicopter up off a Cheyenne when their fire engine started to float away. Glad you are on high ground looks like lower Sahara got hammered. Stay safe.

WOW Linda!!! And they say it rains a lot in Seattle....

Mostly caught up at work today... Got home, had to run the Mitsubishi back to the shop - finally pinpointed an oil leak, and the repair is only gonna be about $125, so I'm gonna get it fixed, hopefully get another few thousand miles out of it. Finally home, waiting for the steaks to soak up the Lea & Perrins goodness before throwing them on the grill. Can you say "Big a$$ rib eyes!!!"??

Yes, that's a 9x13 pan they're marinating in....

Thanks Jay. Over the years the county has constructed a very elaborate, effective flood detention system, but when the entire valley gets pounded we have..... flooding.

Right now I'm pretty glad I'm not driving to Vegas tomorrow.........

Linda, that looks like a foam gun to clean the car, to me....

Sounds & looks like some of you had a better day than me. :( That foam gun is cool, wish I had one. Those steaks look great. Although I can't fuss much. MIke had a big pot roast done in the slow cooker when I got home today & it was pretty good. I recieved most of my mods for Ruby. Just waiting for a new Black Iceolator to be shipped & I'll send back the one that arrived in a damaged package with stuff missing. Then I'll get with my club mate (female mechanic) to pick a day for us to install my mods. The hubbys can sit around & watch TV/gossip while we work! I had a very busy day at work today & just now finished my notes at 11:30 our time. I might post a few more pics on the LSX Fest thread , then bed time for me. Good night all.

It's a foam gun. Going to use it as a pre-wash when it is car was time.

Just took some pics that are too good to wait til Friday... Stumpy has always tried to play with the other cats, he plays kind of rough, so they don't want anything to do with him. Coco is just the right size, and a little rough and tumble, so they're playmates now!!

"gonna get you!"

"dare you to try that again..."

"come on, I DARE you!"

"gotcha!!!"

Glad the cats are declawed!!

Diane, the flood waters have receded - that's the nature of flash floods. There's some mud and debris to clean up in the streets, but unless we go another round tomorrow, it shouldn't be bad, which is easy for me to say since my car did not wash down the street...
