Just need to figure out where to shoot at. All the outdoor places I know about you have to drive down washboard run down dirt roads and I won't be taking the Camaro down any lol.

That sucks man. The midnight cruise was awesome and a bigger success than I thought. Wide open curvy mountain roads, perfectly clear night. Nothing like taking 15 mph hairpin turns down the side of a mountain at 50+. Everybody enjoyed it so we're gonna have another one soon. I'm surprised that many showed up to cruise at midnight lol.
Ya I have seen a few before. They are not small at all.

There is Iron Sights in Ocean Side. It's indoors though. I will do some research and see if I can't find an outdoor one with decent roads.

Next time you set up a midnight cruise let me know!! Sounds like a ton of fun.

An indoor range might be tough to do depending on how many people are interested. All the indoor ranges around here are crowded on the weekend's especially iron sights.

There's an outdoor range down in Chula Vista called the South Bay Rod and Gun club that's supposed to be really nice and even has the ability for 1000yd shots for the big toys. I believe it's a dirt road though.

There's also an outdoor range in El Cajon where I live called Project 2000 but I don't really like it. It might be okay if we can reserve the range for ourselves if we get enough people.

Here is a link to find local spots. I agree, proly best to find an outdoor range. I tried calling one but no answer. I will have to call later since I am at work. I know of a local range in Beaumont it's again indoors but I know the owner would proly give us the whole range if we could get enough people to go.

I would still like to get an outdoor range for the long shots. Been a while and would like to sight in my rifles since it's been so long. Plus I want to try and go hunting in the next month or so.

Added a Primary Arms MD-07 Micro Dot and an NcStar single point sling to my Ruger 10/22 Take Down today. The sling was only $10 but I'm going to splurge and set it up for a Magpul MS3 one day Just because. I love this little rifle. I have an MD-09 Micro Dot on my AR15 and they are terrific for the money. Probably among the best Aimpoint clones with an awesome company backing them.

I also took my Ruger Gunsite Scout to my favorite gun store and got it some new glass. A Redfield Revolution 3-9x40. I also picked up a 5 round Ruger poly mag for it as the steel 10 rounds it comes with is a bit excessive for a woods gun (though a good item to carry loaded for backup). The last item I need to get in an (Eric) Ching Sling. Then she will be set. I know some would call blasphemy for mounting the scope over the receiver on a 'Scout' rifle, but the scout scope selection is piss poor and expensive. Even at 16.5" this little squirt is accurate enough to hunt with under 200 yards and would benefit from a good scope mounted in a traditional fashion.

My nephew &^ several of my husbands friends said they will be starting to teach daughter & I how to shot (I handled guns most of my life but stopped when I got married & had kids) just didnt need them in my life.

my daughter is 14 & is the do not touch unless we have to. shes being taught how to shot off the back of a horse now with her aunt.

Was it a Browning T-Bolt? Those are excellent. As is anything CZ makes. I had an XD, tried Glocks, and ended up settling on the Smith & Wesson M&P.

Sounds like you are on the right track. Getting the kids SAFELY involved with firearms often helps ween that curiosity off of them and makes firearms in the household safer in the long run.

Which reminds me, my AR15 has an empty mag in it...and that's not gonna help anyone. Let me go throw a full one in

Yes its a T- bolt it was the last one they had & since my husband is left handed, & the Tbold is a left handed model it worked out great.
We looked at a Smith & wesson bodyguard but they only had one & it was being held on to

It's the same with Taurus's. Over the years we have owned almost 20 Taurus pistols and semi-auto's. Every single one we had had issues and had to be sent back and repaired under warranty. Just last year we had to send my mom's Taurus back to the manufacturer 3 times within a 6 month period. After we got it back the 3rd time we immediately traded it in on a S&W and completely swore off Taurus.
My dad got me a walther for C&C and let me tell you I would sooner throw it at someone than trust it to fire correctly, In the year I have had it I haven't been able to go through 20 rounds without at least three/four jams.

No I haven't. The eotech has treated me well, so haven't changed it.

If the Lucid HD7 doesn't work on my ar, or i don't like it, i'll put it on my deer slug gun.

I would keep running eotechs, just don't like the huge reticle.
