Never was very good at multiple choice tests. I do much better with essay tests, but ASE doesn't do those. So I had to prep for 7 days.

Thanks everyone, and good morning!

I turned wrenches (auto tech) years ago for a living. I am a ASE certified technician for steering and suspension, brakes, and electrical systems. I'm just maintaining those now.

My current job is a sort of auto claims adjuster, but I do not work at an insurance company. I have to keep up with industry changes and what not, so I am required to be ASE and I-car certified. So ASE now calls me a "Recerified Master Collision and Refinishing Tech" and I am I-car Platinum Certified.

Don't think I could survive in the flat rate world, so I work on my own cars and friends' cars.

Good morning everyone. Sorry I didn't post anything this morning. I had to deal with some window installers for about an hour right before I headed off to work.

OK, we've gotten some really good answers to the annoying sound exercise. Now, here is the second part - what is the sound you most don't want to hear right after you've heard the annoying sound??? I'll start you off - my most annoying sound was that of the dentists drill. The sound I don't want to hear right after that is the dentist saying, "Oops"!!!

Mine was kids/adults making "smacking" noises when eating. The sound I would not like to hear next would be the sound of regurgitation.

I said cracking gum was annoying, and the reason it's sooooo annoying to me is that my mom does it all the time. So I guess the thing I don't want to hear after that sound is her voice... Haven't spoken to her in over 4 and 1/2 years, life is much better that way. Long story, but I'll make it short - you DON'T want to be the child of a narcissistic, bi-polar alcoholic.
