Good morning/afternoon all Headed to a Birthday/Hurricane Party. Did our Storm Prep just in case Isaac does a Charley and unexpectantly changes track and gains intensity.

Good afternoon all. Just started a 12 hour shift supporting a dress rehearsal to move technology systems and processing in prep for the real deal a couple of weeks hence.

No wonder I'm tired.....

Had a great Saturday the car show was small only 15 cars but it was fun and there were 2 there with 40 plus year old original paint that was in pretty good shape. A 66 GTO, and a 69 Cutlass. Then I went to a baseball game and the Indians won snapping an 8 game skid. They also had a nice fireworks show after the game. I am tired now time to call it a night.

Mike & I took both Camaros out for a cruise today about 35 mi to a resturant called 5 Chefs In Portland, TN, that had been featured on several TV shows. Nice cruise up, nice meal, then pretty nice cruise back but ran into some light rain. Mike's poor Camaro was driven in the rain!!!!!!!!!! Shocking! But guess what? As I had predicted, it did not melt. He had to give it a bath as soon as we got home. I dried off the top of Ruby very lightly. She will get a bath probably tomorrow. She likes to be driven, she is a car afterall & one that loves her job. Ruby is happy in her garage, a bit dirty around the wheels, but content. Here are a couple of pics:

Good Sunday Morning Gang. And another beautiful one it is here. Today I meet with my sisters to discuss the selling of daddy's beloved GMC truck and having the land re-surveyed to prepare to sell the house & land. It is really sad to see this this happen. Daddy loved that truck sooooooooo much and the little mini farm was so much a part of all of our lives. We grew a huge garden every year with everything you can think of including popcorn, peanuts, Strawberries (which we also sold to Kroger grocery stores), watermellon, cantaloupe and all sorts of vegetables. We froze/canned vegetables for winter & made jellies, jams, tomato juice.........lots of things like that. We grew crops of corn, wheat, hay, soybeans & tobacco. We had chickens & pigs. On my grandad's farm we had cows. We had a smokehouse & made our own smoked sausage, country hams/sholders, bacon, etc. We hardly had to shop for groceries. Man, I miss all of that (except for working in the tobacco & strawberry crops - that part was no fun but it built character). So, it is very sad to see it all go, but...............it is time. Daddy is getting gradually worse. Last week he got so confused & belligerant, my sister had to have him sedated. We don't need to be spending his $ for paying taxes & upkeep on all this stuff. Here is a pic of Daddy with his pride & joy.

These stories are hard for me to read, they are so sad. Been there myself, and more to come unfortunately.

I've been through this before too, so sad. It was a difficult situation for my sister and me to go through.

Jan, you are absolutely doing the right thing. Hopefully you and your sisters are all on the same page. It may be hard to let that all go, but you still have the memories. And if he's getting worse, you're train of thought is good - don't waste money that could be used to help take good care of him on tings like property taxes. Hugs to you...

Had a GREAT weekend at the beach! The weather was fabulous!! Can't wait to do it again next year

I think Chevy needs to use this one for an ad... Front, side profile, back, coupes, vert with top down, V8, V6... one gorgeous pic has it all!!!
