It's been in the process of being rebuilt for the last 3 months. Wrecked April 2nd and work didn't really start until April 10-12th
As for resumes, can't send 'em yet. Not fully licensed until I can get my car back to take for a week back to Michigan for my O&P. DME is up in Kalamazoo so it's gonna be a mini-vacation. Needed to wait for the car as I couldn't steal the work truck or my mom's car. ![]() Sucks.. but I heard it's picking up in other areas; also always have the option of going overseas and just paying taxes out the ass to take the bird where ever I go. Still single so I'm not tied down to anything. |

bullshit you cant send them. average time for an employer to respond to a resume is 17 days. which is more than 2 weeks so send them out. or, if you are that concerned about it, edit the resume to show that you are in the process of completing your A&P and continue to send them out. no sense in waiting to talk to employers and not getting your name out there ya know.`

so I'm officially pissed....
let my cousin-in-law borrow my mechanics tools on the 4th to change his power steering pump... he came over to help me move some furniture today.... I asked him where my tool bag was, he said it was in the back seat of his truck and that he hadn't gotten a chance to swap the pump yet. I pop the door open and lay the seat forward.... no bag.... 90% of my sockets, all of my box/open/wratchet wrenches, T-handles, allen wrenches, plus a bunch of specialty tools (multimeter, obdII diagnostic scanner), plus a bunch more all ****ing gone. over $1000.00 worth of tools gone.... I'm pissed.

And this was MONTHS ago. However the university has begun informing the alumni that many companies are contacting schools and universities directly asking for information on recent grads. So it may be that they're looking to snag 'em out of school on the cheap rather than fund those mechanics that have other expenses and are less likely to be molded into the company without so much as a complaint. I know the industry is slacking, and that employment is an issue. Don't assume that I think it's all rosy. Profits are taking a shit due to fuel and other costs and people can't get employment due to purse strings from the former impacting the latter. I've got money, enough to pay for what I need to. I may bitch and whine, but at the end of the day.. I've learned in the past 4 years alone that patience is key. It'll come. |

I'm watching Craigslist well, originally, I was going to help him do the work. he met me at my in-laws' house and I had compiled all my stuff into my big bag to take with me, then after changing his oil, the decision was made by those present to go buy fireworks. so we took my wifes car and to gain maximum room in the trunk, I took the bag out and put it in his truck and just told him to bring it back when he comes to help me move furniture

Cool thing about it is the way it's sprayed, it feels like a textured abs insert. Also, found that it's not quite CETA standard, but I like how he left the indented lip unpainted instead of filling it in as were done on CETA cars.
