No, Dodge isn't limiting production of them, but dealerships have very, very strict allocations of Hellcats. I don't have numbers on how many have been ordered or sold, but it has been announced that more manuals have been ordered than the autos.

If you can put a 305 on the back without modding anything than that's a home run !!!!
Believe it or not, that skinny tire in the back was my major turn off about the Cat. Great news for me

I forget the exact wording, but it had to do with square fitments and how far the tire could extend from the fender lip from the factory. I know the reason why they're not running 305's in the front is due to turning radius issues, but I think the reason why they're not running 305's out back is because Mopar only allows a set distance beyond the body of the vehicle from the factory, even tho 305's wont cause a problem mechanically.

WOW that is incredibly dumb. I get having these "regulations" for your every day cars but c'mon for a Halo Performance car? I cannot believe they would limit their performances cars like that.

It's the same reason Mopar gives for not offering OEM urethane suspension bushings; they have to run 150,000 miles without a squeak!

I have spent the last 3 days driving and riding in Charger Hellcats, I can not give any driving impressions or photos yet due to embargo by Dodge PR, but as soon as it is lifted I will post a full report, and hopefully an impression of the Challenger Hellcat as well.

They have promised me a drive in the Challenger Hellcat since I allowed some pretty awesome burnouts with the Chargers.

FWIW over 5,000 Hellcats have been ordered, and so far 500 have been produced. Mopar is expecting to have 2,000 on dealer lots and in consumer hands by Christmas.

Have any been delivered yet? I've been waiting for the flood of news when they start hitting the street and strip. Seems like #1 was produced a while ago.
