I had a very busy day at work & need to be doing my notes now but apparently our site is down. I guess I'll end up starting tomorrow behind & tomorrow is likely to be just as busy.

Are we going to have an Ol'farts gathering, do lunch or something at the Fest? Let me know as it looks like my days will be pretty full. I am thinking about going up Wed instead of Th so I'll have some less intense time too.

Well Jan, I'm thinking we should have our GTG Thursday after the cruise...if that materializes. I think we'll be pretty busy Friday and Saturday. What do you think? Games and party Thursday night? Is anyone bringing a canopy?

I work in Flight Standards, revising existing and/or writing new criteria and policy used for the development of instrument flight procedures. Just a bunch of us old, former air traffic controllers and/or pilots putting our old skills and experience to use before we head out the door for good. That picture on the left was taken in August 1970, the day after I returned home from Vietnam. Guess I "downsized" in the vehicle dimensions way, but "upsized" in horsepower range (The SS 396 I had was only 360 HP)!!

I know it may sound weird to some; but that actually sounds fascinating. To you it might seem somewhat mundane by now. But from an outsider's standpoint, it would be interesting to see the process for developing something so technical and important. I would imagine that there are so many real world variables to consider before finalizing a guideline.
And the fact that your picture was taken the day after you got back from Vietnam makes it that much cooler in my eyes! Thanks for your service!

Oh, and I'm guessing that flying solo "under the hood" is not a FAR appoved way of doing touch-n-gos. Remind me sometime, and I'll tell that story later!

Morning all happy hump day. I have to take the Camaro to one more collision shop this morning to satisfy the ins co of the lady that hit the car. Hopefully I will have it in the shop next week. I can't make it to the fest but I am going to BBOMG and I want it finished before I go.

Insurance companies are like the Government. They don't want the best work, they want the cheapest price. (Apologies to all those who work for the government.)

How hot is it gonna get today? Supposed to get to 95 here today. We're gonna do water rockets with the Cub Scouts this evening. It's fun to get totally soaked when it's nice and hot.
