it says est for one, also the v6 is "est" at 3750lbs

http://media.ford.com/images/10031/2...g_v6_Specs.pdf

its been said the v6 with the perf pack (heavier wheels, brakes, suspension) will be under 3500.

dont expect the gt to weigh more than 3700

the new engine weighs 10 more lbs, the new mt82 trans is suppose to be 4 less pounds than the tr3650.

at most 100lbs gain over 2010

Wait, what? EST is 3750 according to the GT specs, but you said with the heavier wheels and brakes, suspension it will be lighter than the estimated 3750lbs. Explain how this is possible?

Also, I don't expect anything. I quoted directly from Ford their own estimated weights they posted today since the embargo lifted. I'm just trying to understand why Ford would estimate higher if the new transmission is lighter, and the motor only adds 10lbs. Let us try to keep to the facts that Ford posts, and not what some would wish the 2011 will be.

Believe what you like, those numbers are not the true weight numbers.

Oh really? So then what is the purpose of posting this info if its false? You must know something the rest of us aren't privy too.

im not wishing, FORD said the v6 with perf package is under 3500lbs.

notice how the vert and the coupe are the same, that right there should throw you for a loop.

but believe whatever you want for now, it doesnt effect me in my life

why does the auto coupe gain 125lbs but not the vert auto? i mean cmon be logical

OK, I'll bite, can you provide a link where did Ford said this?

Again, not trying to be combative, I simply stated the numbers Ford provided. If there is a discrepancy (which there obviously is), then Ford needs to update their tech sheets. As it stands, my original question is still valid. Why the substantial weight gain based on the numbers provided? What else changed in the 2011 model besides the motor and transmission?
