maro reminds me of marrow (bone marrow), which makes me think that like bone marrow being the life source of all things blood in the body; likewise the Camaro is the life-source of the muscle car community.

i've been a Camaro fan since i was a kid and i never once heard any person or read in any magazine , refer to it as a Maro until the last couple years here on C5.
it sounds completely goofy to me. like someone making up a new catchphrase that they think is cool but isn't.

While I don't like "twenty ten", I don't think anyone is going to stop using it. Much like the Maro, and Cammy terms.
