I wish there was a college near me that had a bowling team when I went . Played soccer instead.

I just had this conversation with a co-worker how there was no bowling in High School when we went. But my son now has a chance to do it.

What exactly do you learn in bowling?

I'm sure some history of the sport but how can you fill a whole class with just bowling?

Im at the point where im gonna go get lessions or something because this is not working...the new ball is great but i cant figure it out.

My first game started off great, strike, spare, spare, strike then 3 splits in a row and went downhill. I finished game 1 with a 133, not bad for me i guess but the last 2 games i was doing the same things as before but couldnt close anything, was missing pins, I even bowled a 1 in one of the frames, 2nd game 96 3rd game 84....a 5 year old can do better than that

I didn't mean a bowling class for me or my son, but a bowling team that competes after school. I agree on the classroom stuff. Teach them how to keep score and then hit the lanes for hands on training.

It's a struggle I know . Just hang in there and ask people that your friends with to watch you and see if they can spot something your doing wrong. Lessons ate great but not cheap so I'd ask a fellow bowler to lend you some advice as well.

You need to have someone help you with your approach. I'll gaurantee you are all over. I find myself doing that even now sometimes. It was the biggest leap I ever took to getting it right. If you start with your left foot on a certain board, then you should end your slide with your left foot on that same board. People tend to walk to either side. And many times end up in a different place every time.

Plus your swing. Same and consistant. But I'm guessing you need to get your approach and body possitioning right first. Video yourself sometime. Helped me a TON. But have a fellow bowler help you out. Someone who is good.

Most good bowlers are narcissists. Just compliment them a lot and they'll help you. Tell someone who's fairly good that they are awesome. Ask them how they do it. If they are like 80% of the bowlers I've ever known they'll lap it up and want to help you so they can hear you tell them how good they are some more.

Sounds shitty but it worked for me.

That would have been cool when I was in school.

My son has no interest in it.

Well....

To get an A: Males have to average a 111...females a 93.

We have E-book modules due every week, but I did them all in one sitting so I wouldn't have to worry about it. They were mainly just about Physical Education stuff..with the last Module actually being about bowling.

Asked questions like... what is the max score in bowling. How many pins are there? How long is a lane? What kind of roll should a beginner throw? A few scoring questions.

We had one quiz.... how to score.... you did it in class, then you went online back home and put in your answers... easy 100. My team loved me.

The lady, who looks like she couldn't find her way out of a tunnel (bad one I know)..., gives us "lessons" over the microphone.

Pretty much consists of "Keep your shoulders level..." and "If you are a right handed bowler, you need to finish with your left foot..and vice versa"

Just a joke class to go have fun and relive some stress. I'm headed there in 45 minutes... I'll let you know how it goes.

It kinda sucks cause its not a fresh shot... its lanes that have been bowled on by the bowling classes prior to me with nothing but house balls. Talk about an over/under reaction with an ass load of carry down.

That's actually a pretty hard condition. Outside slides inside goes through the nose.
