I love the new Mustang but I see them on every corner. Kinda like the car I drive now... lol. Everyone and there brother, sister, uncle seem to have one.

I see maybe 2 Camaro's a week. I love it! They get so much attention. I just need to pick up a truck to drive during the week so my baby won't get dented!

I would say your argument is actually a negative for GM and a Win for ford (ie. more sales = a "win)

But not so fast....the 2010 Camaro outsold the 2010 Mustang, which looks quite a bit different then the 05-09 series mustangs.

So..to turn your argument on its end...there are actually LESS 2010/2011 body style mustangs on the road then Camaros!

Im also anxiously awaiting news of the 2011 Camaro along with the rest of you......has their been any leaks (i hadnt looked).

Last year when i was talking about mustangs advantages here (being the fastest being about the only one it didnt have)...the responses i got were mostly "well these are muscle cars and THE ONLY THING that matters is who is faster)..lol

Fair enough....and ill even wait till the 2011 gets reviewed before turning that same argument back on you guys....

How are you going to do that?

The cars are producing almost the same exact numbers with identical traps in both tests so far. And I will have a hard time believing you are going to get as much out of that 5.0 as a 6.2 when the mods start.

If you want to go around bragging like a fool over a tenth of a second go ahead...its your reputation.

When some were bragging in the past the camaro was beating the 2010 GT by .6 tenths of a second and 6mph in trap speed in the 1/4 in most tests. And we still had to hear from several mustang faithful that this was a drivers race LOL. Now I see you are ready to put us in our place over the kind of difference we have now? haha.....ok ill be listening

And you do know that the 2010 camaro ss beat the 2010 mustang gt in lap times as well right? it also won most braking tests as well. Looks are a personal opinion.

Video is a repost ( link ) And I hate to rain on your guy's parade but the Mustang is going to be faster unless you are talking about moded cars. Sure if you compare 2010s the Camaro will win but I think that will come to an end. It is a little late IMO for any kind of big changes for the 2011 Camaro.

You didnt read my post above, i said the 2010 was faster.

To answer the other question, ...yes they are very very close. I think the mustang edges out a little but not as much as Camaro beat Mustang in 10..ill give you that, yes.

Depending on who you beleive..so far the 2011 is faster than Camaros 2010..but we wont know till the Camaros 2011 year model is reviewed so i am biting my tongue.

If i am correct, the Mustang wil be faster and as i have been told by you guys WINNING IS WINNING..the rest doesnt matter.

Also as i was not really allowed to post about mods on the 10 versus a Camaro..we are not having that discussion either..stock times ONLY.

If i mentioned superchargers, the threads were locked or my posts were deleted so we are not going there.

I guess we will just wait and see...

Honestly, I'm really excited to see how the next year turns out. This is what it should have been like from the get-go!
Yeah, the Mustang might be ahead compared to last [model] year's Camaro, but what's 2011 got ahead for the reborn beast? More HP? Better handling?
It's definitely something that's got me at the edge of my seat just anticipating what might be sitting on the screen tomorrow!
The Pony Wars are definitely back. It's a challenge to see what car people want more. Hopefully GM will start advertising the Camaro more prominently like how Ford advertises their Mustang.

Yes I did read your post. You said it was only faster in a strait line. I replied that the camaro also won tests in which they compared lap times around a track. And also won some of the 60-0 braking comparisons. Even in the tests where they had roughly the same 60-0 braking...the resistance to fade and overall quality of the braking system was no comparison.

I have absolutely no problem admitting that the new mustang is likely a bit faster than the new camaro stock for stock.

But I think it is rather foolish to brag about given the small difference and the power potential of the LS3. The camaro will be just fine. I am not worried in the least.


And im not sure what you are talking about with not being able to post. This site has more mustang trolls than anything else I have seen in my life on any other camaro site I have been on. (not that you are a troll ) The thread must have got out of hand to be closed. And what about supercharging...550-600rwhp for the ls3 on conservative set-ups.

Wow some serious Mustang hate amongst some of you. What some of the fanboys don't realize is that a superior Mustang will equal faster and better improvements in your own cars. If there isn't any competition there's not much of an incentive for GM to revise and improve the Camaro (or whatever other cars) to remain competitive.

Looks are subjective or course, but to dismiss the Mustang outright because of immaturity or jealousy is just sad.

Thats pretty close to what my argument was last year and then..got the response that "well the Camaro is still faster so the mustang sucks"

Using YOUR forums members responses to me last year (and the same logic)..i humbly return the sentiment.
