Just because you have the power to write a ticket doesn't mean I'm going to be nice to you and act like a whopped dog not to get one. You put your life on the line for me?? Bullshit, its rare that I see any cop get out of there car, other than to ticket someone, and then they only do it if there 4 cars worth of back up sitting there. Turns out you may "put your life on the line" by sitting there writing ticket, well I put my life on the line in Iraq and/or Afghanistan whenever I'm called to, and I don't feel like I get owed anything. So why do you? I owe you respect for pulling me over, when you do the same thing all the time? I can't count how many times I've seen a cop speed, or make an illegal u turn, or flip there lights on to beat a redlight, then turn them right back off. 99% of police officers are the biggest hypocrites I know. So yeah when you walk up to the car being a hard ass, your gonna get lip from me. And When you write me some bullshit ticket because you got lip, I'm gonna fight it, and you damn well better have your facts straight, because I will win if you don't.
+1 same here in NJ.. thank you for FIGHTing for our country

Would like a break because, Im 37 not 18 and have perfect driving record.

I dont mind cops, I know a lot of them.

Some of them have attitude though, and the hypocrites these are the eye sores of the job.

The other day I'm cruising along on my bike, 50 in a 35 and cop whips it around unsafe U turn, floors it probably 70 mph to catch up. I can stop in 30 feet, how long does it take him?

Hypocrite, and who was the bigger danger to the public?

It's a money thing and thats what I hate about it.
So if you weren't doing 50 in a 35 do you think any of that would have happened?

Of course the cop has to turn around (unless he was setup stationary) and then go faster than you to catch up to you.

i have a close cousin of mine who is in new orleans, he said he doesnt pull people over for speeding, he has bigger fish to fry, they really dont even chase anyone unless its something big, but if you break the law, your liable to pay for it, i got a ticket from a MO state trooper while i was in my chevy express work van, sure was moving at 95 in a 70, but i saw him right away and just pulled over before he turned his lights on, he knocked it down to 85 and i had a radar detector that i turned off for some stupid reason, and i was polite and he gave me the ticket and i didnt argue, i sped, i paid, it sucked but big deal hes doing his job of enforcing the law... that i dont always follow but i dont make em

depends on whether the department shells out money for them. Not all do that if you get the older ones. Houston PD is cheap as hell and won't spring for that. I heard there was a Laser gun that takes a picture of your car, speed, distance and so forth which I thought was pretty neat. But as for tickets, they have ticket machines where we swipe the Driver's License through and it prints out the ticket for us. Real quick.

I believe the laws are called "undue acceleration", so yes, there is a law concerning how fast you accelerate.
