Most disturbing info so far, which would make you think were talking about Korea.

Food and supplies are coming into the south by the shipload, but none of it is making it to the north, where folks are down to a bowl of rice a day.

Some reason they can’t get supplies to the north.

Can’t’ they do an end run around to the good side of the north???

Radioactive fall out from Japan hitting the west coast.

But they say its an acceptable level of radiation, like an xray bla bla bla.
[really for sure every person will just get an xray dose?]

So break out the tinfoil hat, they are probably not 100% truthful

Hi, all.
I live in Tokyo.
This earthquake put out quite a lot of victims.
It is very sad.
Gasoline is insufficient, and there are no goods in the stricken area.
In addition, the radioactivity problem is brought up, too.

However, the situation has picked up a little.
A lot of countries have come for support.
Especially, the activity of American naval forces is wonderful.
Thank you it says on behalf of Japanese me.
We revive without fail.
I am looking forward to the day where it can travel to Fukushima again with my SS.

Thank you.

Is it in response to an actual threat in the area, or is it because people are going crazy with a fear of radiation?

People are so freaking STUUUUPID! It's like that quote from Men in Black: the PERSON is smart, people are dumb, panicky dangerous animals and you know it.

I saw an article today that said they detected increased radiation levels in the rain in Massachusetts, but that these increased levels were no where near enough to cause any kind of health risks. You'd probably get more radiation exposure from standing to close to the microwave, and definitely more from an x-ray or the new airport scanners.

No clue, was just one of them community announcement adds in the free press.

Our local one was like Japan, lots of history of covering up problems and faking papers.

About 5 years ago they had to replace the reacator dome cause they let a acid leak go one for years till it almost ate all the way through it.

Radiation found in milk on the Cal west coast, though they say it 3000 time below dangerous levels, they are still finding it in US milk now.

"Japan's nuclear safety agency raised the severity rating of the crisis at its nuclear plant to the highest level today, on a par with the 1986 Chernobyl disaster.
An official with the Nuclear Safety Commission of Japan, speaking on national television, said the rating was raised from five to seven."

And its not new, news; they just figured it out by cross checking data.
