Right there with you, 67 (and many others here). I, too, am 58 (59 in July) and have a new Camaro for all the right reasons - because I can - and worked hard to get to this point in life.

The young-uns can think of me as an "Old Fart" if they wish. I don't care, I don't feel old, and I love my new car.

Welcome, you should come to the f-body Gathering in Atlanta this weekend. We'll be having lots of fun and fellowship, see lots of cool Camaros and some Firebirds too. Get some ideas for your car and maybe give some too. If f-bod father, Scott Settlemire is there, you might even get your car signed. Don't know where your hometown is, but maybe you can make it up. Stop by the ACE5 compound if so....you really don't even have to register to stop by and look, but you won't get the goodies, etc.

Thanks oakie, but I have other plans this weekend. I just got my Camaro and have only been on this site for less than a week, so I already had the other plans made.

I'll keep and eye/ear out for other events thought and will certainly check some of them out.

1LE was it really UNDER $40,000? I'm really doubting that will be the case. :( The one thing that GM needs to do if they want to keep this CAMARO love going! Is keep the price in the range of the AVERAGE person. ZL1 is nice a beautiful car but $60,000 is getting way out of the average mans price limits. JMO!!!!!!
