Really don't know what the timeline is, around 2016 seems to be a good bet considering GM appears to be redoing everything then.
Nothing on the new Duramax besides test blocks were cast forever ago.

I think you are right with ZR2 (style) Colorado. with nice 32.7" BFG 285/70/R17's under it 2-3" built in lift fender flares locking dif. Would be total bad ass.
