No snow day for me. They did cancel the 2nd and 3rd shifts and told the first shift we could leave and either take PTO or make up the missed hours by Sat. I thought I am already there may as well just stay and work. We had about 10" and most things were cancelled or closed so no one was on the roads. I tossed the Silverado into 4x4 and made it home faster than I do on a normal day. I love it when there is no traffic to get in my way. Now when I go in on Sat it will be OT instead of straight time.

Originally what was going to happen was we would either have to use vacation time or make up the time later in the week. However one of the employees went through our company handbook and found out that if the building gets closed and we are forced to leave then we get payed for our normal time.

 I has that happen when USPS failed to deliver a package and it said was not home.. I tracked down the mailman and he said he was just behind because of some of the snow storms this year. Ended up getting it the next day  Quote:
