After my run for prednisone this morning, I'm going to a women's only car care session at a Corvette shop. It's being co-hosted by the Camaro club. It should be fun! Lots of other Chevy girls!
Not letting the shoulder stop me!

Have a great day every one.

Hope it doesn't get too hot there today. Did the CAI come in? Wait, you said it wasn't gonna make it in time for the BBQ. Dang. Well have fun anyway!!

Vince, I just checked out your build thread. Your car looks awesome. Can't wait to meet up with you guys and check out your beast!!

Well I don't normally post when I am supposed to working, But our dog Cody has been diagnosed with cancer. The vet same he could give him Chemo , but that's beyond what we can afford. We always joked with our daughter that Cody was her twin, they are both 11yrs old. We weren't expecting this to happen. We also have a female dog China that keeps losing weight and they don't know what's wrong, I wager that it's a tumor, even though they took xrays. They say no longer than 4 months for Cody to be with us. It never gets any easier.Soon when I come home for lunch there will be no dog that understands practically every word that I say.

No, but I have a limited supply of relative-bearing grease.

LBM, did you get your prednisone? What did you teach the ladies at the ladies only auto-maintenance session today?

I did get to start the right dose of prednisone today Already starting to notice a slight difference, should be good to go by Monday or Tuesday!
Considering this event was held at a Corvette shop, for 'Vette and Camaro club gals, I was surprised by some of the questions these ladies asked (if you take the cap off that little thing on the tire won't all the air come out?). One would think, driving these cars, you would make a concerted effort to know about them. I guess today was the effort, huh?
I did learn some things, though. Like maybe part of my SUV issues were my own fault. Did ya know if you mix traditional antifreeze and Dexcool together, they solidify??? Huh....
I won a door prize - a $50 gift certificate for the Corvette shop. Don't think he'll sell me the '67 Stingray for 50 bucks, though....

Congrats on the door prize win Jeanette.

After today, I am toast. Even though I was in the shade most of the day while being outdoors I got too much sun. I'm spending the night relaxing inside.

Twisty, your comments about radio station TOFT made me think of this oldie (but gooodie) by Harry Chapin about being on the road, music and, well, us.

Hope everyone has a great evening.

So sorry to hear this I have had to put down 2 dogs in the past and it always sucks. Also about a year ago I lost a 10 week old dachshund puppy we got to parvo less then a week after we got her. It always sucks to lose a member of the family you have our thoughts and prayers.
