After a lovely day, I'm having a cranky evening... My doctor sent a prescription for prednisone to the pharmacy I manage. I called and asked one of my techs to drop it by my house on her way home - and I am soooo excited to get this started tomorrow so maybe my shoulder pain will be gone by Monday. She drops it off, I go in the house, take the vial out, and it's for 5mg, when my doctor said he was writing for 50mg. So - either the doctor clicked the wrong one in the computer, or my tech did. If the tech did, that means the pharmacist filling in for me today didn't catch the error. Sooooo - I get to suffer through the weekend, and I'm pretty pissed.

I THINK I'm correct here, but I'm sure to be corrected if not..........
Hotrodsally is Linda, I know that one for sure. Now, I'm fairly certain that LBM is Jeanette? And Maggie is Dragonlady?

Sorry to hear about the drug mistake LBM I hope you are feeling better soon. I just arrived in Cleveland for a weekend of camping to find my one water hose is 2 inches too short to reach the trailer and my 25 foot one has sprung a leak.

There is a nearby WalMart so the wife went to see if she can get something to get us by for the weekend because I have been up since 5 AM and I am dog tired after the 3 hour drive here. If she can't find something I will go waterless till tomorrow when I can find an RV store that is open.

I'm pretty sure my doc has had enough practice that he got it right. Which means my tech got it wrong. I know mistakes happen - we're human. But one would think you'd be extra cautious to get the boss's prescription right. I'm staying ticked off because the exam made my shoulder hurt worse. So bad I could almost cry...

Right now I'm chatting with a pharmacist friend who works for the same company. He has access to his pharmacy on weekends (I don't) - we're going to log into my pharmacy computer remotely tomorrow, double check the prescription, and fill it right. That way I don't have to go too long in pain. It's the kind of pain even narcotics don't help with. I think it may be time to see my orthopedic surgeon again.
There is a silver lining though - gotta try to see the positive here - at least it's my left shoulder, so shifting Ladybug isn't a problem!

WOW..............sounds like almost everyone has a fun weekend planned, except poor Jeanette with her shoulder pain. Hope you're feeling better when you log on this AM Jeanette!
Anyway, I'm up and ready to take on the twisty route up the Virginia City *truck route and down into Reno to check out the mini "Spring Fever" showNshine version of Hot August Nights at the Atlantis hotel/casino. Participants are restricted to muscle and classic cars no newer that 1972. Like many of you, I prefer modern muscle, but I still enjoy looking at the older stuff, should be a fun day.

*They had the truck route closed off to regular traffic last weekend for the annual Ferrari hill climb. It's a timed race event for anyone with any car that wants to let it all hang out on this 5 mile "race course". This occurs two or three times a year. Several drivers have lost their lives over the years up there. The fastest time to date is held by a 2010 Chevy Corvette ZR1.
