Nothing too fancy...since I'm out of school and don't play pc games was looking at something basic to handle day to day tasks. Was looking at a mac book pro

You could also look at an Air if you want something light. I have my Mac book and while it has had some issues overall it has been a good computer and has lasted me much longer than my previous Windows based laptop. I personally wouldn't purchase one again though. They don't tend to play to nicely with the environment I both go to school in and work in.

I feel like I would break an air lol and I do occasionally use the cd drive...I always avoided macs because of that compatibility issue when doing presentations and such but since that part of my life is over figured its time to try one.

Is that why it is used by a lot of networking people? I have seen Countless web developers and even Cisco employees carrying MacBooks. Macs terminal has a lot of protocols built into like telnet and SSH because OS X in its core is a Linux kernel and I don't see you saying anything about Linux is for "the most feeble users". Now if your saying it just because of the apple logo that's on the lid of it then seriously grow up.

Well if you want the internal CD drive that leaves you with one option, the non retina 13 inch. When I bought mine I didn't like the size of the 13 inch since it was to small of a screen so I have the 15 inch. I would recommend going to best buy and testing one and then buy whichever you like most online so you don't pay the sales tax.

I've had my MacBook Pro for nearly 5 years. Runs like a champ. It is only now starting to run a little slow, but not bad at all considering how much I use it.

I do fine with the 13, but 15 are little better. Wife has a 15.

Yeah I'm going to get a Mac sometime soon too.

Probably a iMac first and then a 13" Macbook Pro

I've had way to many problems with Dells, HPs, etc. I'm done with Windows on my next computer

I still plan on keeping my current Dell which I think is a 15 it just runs slow and is having some problems. Figured a 13 would be good enough to just surf the web and stuff like that. Also not to mention I have to keep my current laptop plugged in cause the battery is crap haha.
