Did it seriously cut out that much volume? When i do long tubes i want my set up to have a nice deep but noticeable volume at idle with a decent but not overly loud start up and no increase in drone (I know I'm asking for the impossible). The way I'm probably going to approach it is to do my LT with SS miss and my V2s see how that sounds and if its not good then get the Res X-pipe.

No. It just makes it not sound like fart cans when you have LTs. Loud and shitty is not better than quieter and good sound.

Would you rather listen to Coldplay at full blast or Disturbed at 60% volume?

Question have any of you guys upgraded your sway bars to the SS ones? I picked some up for free today and just wondering if they made a difference

They might make a little bit of a difference. Since you got them free, I'd toss them on.

I've heard guys with SS Gen5's upgrading to Eibach or Pedder's and some of the other aftermarket bars available and talk about the huge difference they make. I said the same thing when I upgraded to Eibach sways myself. Why make a little difference since you're going to replace them and make a huge impact on the handling. I've told many that if you can't lower, at the same time, do the sways first for the handling that the car should have had from factory. You won't have have to do an alignment and the handling and feel is big, HUGE!!!!!! I don't think I'd waste the time doing the SS sways. I'm not sure they're that much larger than what you already have on the car, thus, get some that are bigger and stiffer and you'll appreciate it in the long run! Just my .02 cents.

Well since they were free i just took them and figured i would contemplate on doing it. I know it isn't going to make a huge difference Like aftermarket ones would. And if i don't end up using them i can always just toss them out since they didn't cost me anything.

Edit: This is what i got. Not even sure if its FE3 or FE4 to tell you truth. Im trying to figure that out now

I agree with your view. For that reason, I'm probably going to be buying the Pedder's ZL1 Sway Bar Conversion. I'm going with Pedder's because their bar is the only one I've found to fit with the v6 brakes. Since I don't do road racing (yet) I like having the v6 brakes because they allow for smaller wheels for the rear when I drag race. When I do upgrade to the Brembo's, it works out well because their sway bars will work with those also. So it's a win win in my book. But for now that I don't see myself swapping the brakes yet, it's nice to know at least 1 z sway bar will fit

If you don't mind doing the swap, I'd definitely throw them on there. I mean it's not like it will make things worse right? If they even make a small difference, it's already a win in my opinion. Because you got them for free anyway.
