Excellent! Taxes were done last week. Had a busy day, but got caught up just at the last minute. The boss approved some time off in August so I can go on the "Camaros in the sand" weekend trip. Came home, made some kick a$$ tuna casserole, my hubby even ate the veggies in it (he hates veggies, especially peas). Dishes are done, now a relaxing evening! All in all, a great Monday!

Glad the work day is over. I redid my taxes tonight. Found a mistake and instead of having to pay $100 I'm getting $120 back Certainly not ga-jillions but it beats a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

Survived the 4 day visit of 3 outta town sibs here for the MOPAR rally. Don't know if the turnout was low due to the crappy weather but C-Fest better damn sure outshine this!

Surf and Turf dinner onThursday night went well but the best part of the weekend was 3 hours of downtime hanging with my youngest bro. It's such a gift to have a friend with mutual respect and common interests - in a sib! Too bad they're not all that way . At least I've got one .

Tuna casserole? It my favorite comfort food.

Daughter in a hurry bumped a car in her work parking lot. Did the right thing left a note with all her info on the car. Woman called her back and was very appreciative. Wanted her to get an estimate for the damage before insurance gets involved in case it is within reason to pay out of pocket to fix the cars. She called back and said she already made a claim with her company because she doesn't want to complicate things. She is getting married in two months and her company told her she had to file claim Don't blame her for filing. She don't know us. However our company State Farm just took notes for any future reference if we can't settle out of pocket and need to file a claim. Is dummy here wrong for thinking it will be complicated further with the insurance companies having to be involved if damage is minor(looks like it to me but you never know) Can an Insurance company tell you you have to file a claim?

Kudos to your daughter for doing the right thing.

The "hittee" is just looking out for herself in the event there more damage than meets the eye. Her remark about "she doesn't want to complicate things" is actually "she doesn't want to complicate things for herself."

Don't know if an insurance company can "make" customers file a claim, but once she called them, her conversation was recorded, she was already "on record." Another aspect of technology. Just sayin'.
