Since it seems like it takes an act of congress to nail down a place, why not start looking NOW? Check with Holly's calendar for dates in the fall. Make up your minds on a location now and stick with it , come hell or high water. If someone is upset over the location, too bad; you can't make everyone happy. Get it done now and everybody will have plenty of time to make plans and arrangements. Make it happen. If this Camaro5 feast ever comes to fruition, it will be over 2 years since the last fest. This is unacceptable. Don't tell me to go to LS fest, it is not the same. Get it wrapped up sooner rather than later. Needless to say, I am very disappointed. I am sick of this. I am beginning to think that there won't be another fest and that there will always be an insurmountable obstacle. Surely I am not the only one who feels this way.

Thanks for everything you all manage to somehow pull off! The events we have been able to attend, the people we've met and freinds we will keep, have been some of the best times of our lives! Life has truly been better since we got a Camaro.
You all deserve a raise!

You've got that right. It's crazy how a car can bring so many folks together. Even when some of the cars go away the friendships keep on going.

Your sarcasm is duly noted, but the question was not rhetorical...with all the difficulties y'all have had in the past , why is the plan to wait? Why not start now and in doing so increase the odds of getting the venue we want, allow everyone plenty of time to plan and at the same time, hush up all the speculators?

You assume we're not already doing so. And that would be incorrect.

You must also remember, that depending on the location we choose...we have had varying levels of attendance. We need to take that into account, because as large-scale as this event has become....we put our personal money up front to jump start the process. The events don't produce very much money at all....and, we're voluntarily doing this.

I'm sorry you feel it's been an unacceptable couple of years, but for the record - we intentionally shelved the 2016 Fest so we could support and play a role in the Camaro Factory Fest...reality was we couldn't do both. :(

Thank you for your input, and your enthusiasm - it's that sort of thing that gives me hope for the future of the event. We'll keep doing this so long as people keep coming.

The fact is you insinuated a lot of things. Way more people would have been pissed off if we told them Phoenix was the spot and then pulled the rug out. A lot of money has to be dropped prior to one of these events so if you want to invest we will keep you informed of every move, because I can't think of a time where we have not been planning/organizing.

So in your complaint you basically answer your own question. Why do we wait? Because everyone needs to be informed way ahead of time to ensure event success and that we get the venue/place we need.

Just keeping folks informed best I can. That's all I have for now.

Edit: Just saw above post... and ditto.

Keep doing what you do. It is appreciated by most.

Perhaps we can plan the 10th anniversary in 2020 back in Georgia.

I did not merely assume, I was going by the statement:" ...so we plan to fully support them in Vegas and then look for a fall Camaro Fest event site.".
The "and then" in the sentence implies waiting until after the Vegas LS fest AND THEN looking for a location. If y'all are already looking then you have my apologies but you can certainly see why I was led to believe otherwise.

No worries.

We have several options we're weighing right now. One looks more likely than the rest. But you can imagine why we'd keep that to ourselves, until we're sure.
