That's the benefit of hopping on new tech/social media trends early. It was the same way with mobile apps - the folks who jumped in early made a killing. Now, it's tough to do.

Kudos, bro. Wish I'd been savvy enough to do it.

In other words, you're not likely knowledgeable that your parents lives and theirs before them, were rougher.

That doesn't include everyone, of course. There are also cases like Logan, where things are tried that OTHERS think are silly or even flat out ridiculous, but they work.

This illustrates my point.
This can be said about every generation ever in modern history. I'm sure in 10 years when I turn 40, I'll be able to say the same thing about the next generation. So the argument holds exactly 0 weight.

I'm getting a little sick of people shitting on my generation because we don't work as hard. We work just as hard, just in a different way and our lives have just as many trials and tribulations, just in a different way. Being over 40 doesn't automatically mean your life has been harder. It just means it's been hard in a different way.

For example, try coming out of college (with student debt) during the greatest economic decline since the great depression and trying to build a career while still getting out of debt. We didn't cause this problem, but we had to fight through it. I did it, I own my own home and a Camaro. I know lots of people who did it.

We're not a generation of people just coasting along, regardless of what the media might have you believe.

It seems like having things, or having good employment, really pisses some people off in here. You don't typically find this in other types of car groups, where most share the common car interest. As I said from my very first reply in this tread, there are many ways young people can earn a lot of money, so it's really no surprise. One simply needs to do a little homework when in doubt, if it is that important.

(Congrats to the OP - I imagine insurance though is outlandish, LOL)

The cost of living here (and no state tax) makes getting by well off very easy. I visit California when I can, and I miss the beaches, desert, mountains, and the weather... but you pay the price to have all of those things. Once you get used to the heat here in Texas, it's definitely worth the move and you can live a lot better on a less amount of money that in Calif.

That's obviously a "dream car garage". Way to go young man.

Nevermind the nay sayers. When I was your age, I was too busy drinking and everything that goes along with that problem to accomplish anything more than a backward slide. So, today, I fully accept that I am where I am today because of the choices I made yesterday. So for me to say anything bad about your success would be me just being a victim of self pity. I'm happy for you.

You found an opportunity and moved on it, and apparently it is paying off for you, good for you man. Now, do us all a favor, stay nice, stay humble, and use today's success to build on tomorrow's success. Don't think as if "you've made it big" rather act is if "this is just the beginning".

And like I would say for any of us, respect what these cars can do and more importantly, what they can't do. Keep the rear end behind the front end, and the shiny side up.

Sadly, that's becoming the general trend throughout society... jealousy and resentment of those who succeed because somehow they don't deserve it.

OP should be an inspiration. If some kinda nerdy, seemingly likable kid can turn stuffed Mario dolls... stuffed Mario dolls!!!... into $100K worth of automobiles, there truly is no reason anybody cannot be successful.

But you know what REALLY pisses me off the most out of everything? When I see Homeless Veterans who served in the United States Military living on the streets and people walk on by without one **** given. That's what REALLY pisses me off and I love voicing my opinion outright in public all the time because people are mindless monkey-drones who seem to not give a flying shit about this situation that I feel is getting out of friggen control.

The problem around here is that people that are asking for handouts are usually not even homeless. They have their car parked right around the corner. I don't give a dime to panhandlers because I don't want to be suckered. If I knew for sure they were legitimately homeless through no fault of their own I would be glad to give them something. The truly homeless should be the crap out of scammers.
