It can only be a good thing. Chevy cant match Fords hp in the ZL1 without first uppin the HP in the ZR1. So maybe just maybe we'll see a 750hp ZR1 and a 700hp ZL1.

Whats going on Mopar or NO Car, hows that line up (besides the Viper) doing? In reality I have to agree, I think (if they ever release numbers) the 2013 Shelby is going to walk the ZL1. I also agree this will force GM to bump HP numbers on the Vett and Camaro. I was thinking about a 2013 ZL1 Vert, but I know there is going to be a 5th gen ZL1 with a final crazy HP number I need to wait for.

Pointless for a while. The ZR1 won't be around much longer (in current form).
I think we will have to wait till the vette gets the next gen motors.

LOL... Im no mopar fan boy but since you asked theyre line up is doing great i must say. The 392's are running about the same times (some cases even quicker times) and just a mph or two slower than the ZL1's. With 110hp less and NA to boot. Id say thats pretty damn good. And u wouldnt wanna bring up the Viper. We all know that NA car is gonna crap all over Chevys flagship car.

Lol there's been like 3 ZL1's that have made the drag strip.

I'd wait and see what the C7 will turn out to be.

I thought it was more like 4-5, but youre right its not that many. But even the mags got pretty similiar times with the ZL1 and 392 minus that 12.2 or 12.0 on of em got. I cant remember which it was. I seen some 12.5's from the ZL1 and i wanna say some 12.5's or 6's from the 392's. Dont think for a second that im saying the 392 is the faster car cause it isnt. With everything being equal the ZL1 will pull a 392 every time. I was just pointing out for being a 110hp down and minus a supercharger that the 392's are doing pretty damn good compared to the ZL1's.

I completely understand why we keep hearing about roadcourses... It's really sad actually, but it is what it is i guess.

To think for sooooo long everyone impatiently waited for the day of the GT500 fighter, and then this happens...:(

I think when Ford found out about the ZL1 coming out, and then all the trash talking from Chevy, they decided to make a statement... And boy did they!!!
