Here's an interesting conundrum for you all. This is from one of my other leagues. Actually 3 of them. 4th one is similar, but one of the players is different.
I ended up picking up Jason Hanson as a kicker for these 3 teams. He had a bye week earlier this year, so I ended up picking up Greg Zuerlein for the bye week (and also because he had just been kicking some 60+ field goals with no problem whatsoever) I hung on to Hanson since then because Zuerlein has a bye week this week. I had planned on dumping Hanson (and Robbie Gould), however I'm worried I might be giving someone else a really good kicker by doing this. Release to make room for some not so good receiver/RB/TE, or hang on to a good kicker to prevent someone from getting the points?

i would only release a player, if you absolutely need room to pick someone up for a bye week. other than that, why bother?

Yea its no big deal if you have awsome players on your team and dont want to risk dropping them.
My concern for example is my match up....qb and te on bye....left them in starting roster with a qb and te on bench that could have been started...there were 3 other teams with this scenario. It just comprimises the whole league cause now on if they dont update its like a free win, which could change some playoff outcomes. just my 2 cents. I love fantasy football and suck when its happens. And yes i do understand this is a free league....but i play it as it was like my other leagues
