Don't worry, I'll be hanging around when the 2013 ZL1 pricing is released.

Article is from February, says car costs 59,xxx base.

Much better source than recent reviews, chief engineer, multiple media sources, and owners.

This just in, 2013 GT500s limited to 155. All convertibles, base coupes, and coupes with just PP. Only coupes with TP added can reach claimed 200 mph. This is also yet to be confirmed.

This just in, GT500 too off balance and heavy and powerful and ugly and has name of dead guy.

This jut in, Ford propaganda lies about horsepower numbers.

This jut in, even if the owner doesn't care about handling, he can't be happy about straight line performance because cars are so much more now than they used to be.

This just in, no matter what happens some Camaro owners and Mustang owners are going to refuse to acknowledge one single positive attribute of the competition while refusing to admit a single flaw with their own preference.

I like both cars but am obviously a ford fan as I have an 03 cobra that's very built up. I've staked my cash on the line and proof trumps eloquence. I like the zl1 a lot but plan to buy a gt500 all said and done. I've done enough research and am now decided. I was debating both but that time is done for me. $55k is too much to throw out without seeing reviews of both even though I am a foes fan. Above all I'm a realist and want bang for my buck.

True facts lowdown has muddled:

-It does 202 in any coupe configuration.

-A zl1 is not 54,995 base out the door though. It must be acquired with a mandatory $1,300-2,600* option. This option is the gas guzzler tax.

-base to base the gt500 is $1,000 cheaper because of out the door gas guzzler tax. Sorry but you lose, have lost and can't win the 61k argument so please stop spewing rhetoric, uploading dead articles from February, and vehemently voicing what is and can only be your opinion.

-Also factor that 14/16 mileage will cost you much more per year to put 5,000 miles on vs the gt500's 15/24. That's 50% better freeway mileage. At $4.00 a gallon this is a huge compromise. If anyone really plans to buy these cars only to drive in the city and avoid highways, so be it, most won't.

-where is the 202mph option for a zl1?

-where is the 600whp option? Zl1's are making 485whp while the gt500 is making 585-600 time after time.

-where is the navigation option? Awesome reccaro's? (zl1's are nice though) etc? You criticize fords 65k price but I dont see nav or glass roof etc on the zl1's sheets. Let's stay on point with apples to apples bud.

-on that note, where is the shaker 1000 esq option? You ring the fcking price to 65k on fords price it site but fail to realize half those options don't exist on the zl1.

All that said, the zl1 is an awesome car, it is a different car than a gt500. Maybe a better handler, but not a faster or quicker car. The zl1 does not make a 2013 a mule buggy handling wise even if it out performs it by a few 10ths on a windy tiny circuit.

All said and done its my opinion that both cars are brilliant and you are a fanboy that needs to grow up.

The GG tax is $1300 for M6 and $2600 for A6, just so you can update your ' true facts'

Matter of fact I do, #670 to be exact along with a SS LS3... I don't mean to come off as a prick, but when the majority of the people come in our house and talk smack about the things we believe in, it gets old. You really don't bother me all that much, because at least you have a horse in the race so to speak and I respect that. It's some of the others that get under my skin. They remind me of the fat kid in school that always had a big mouth and talked tough, as long as hid buddies were there to back him up. I'm almost 60 and getting too damn old to play these silly games with all these little geniuses.

Damn, that's much higher than I remembered, thanks for the info. Again I like the zl1 a lot but the gt500 just hits the right buttons for me personally.

This in spades. Well deserved respect for seeing what many are doing and getting fed up with it. The bench racing crap is hyperbolic garbage. Both cars are great, buy what you like and enjoy. That's the real picture.

Instead of spouting oblique psalms according to Jamal (aka more rhetoric), simply post up the DIRECT REFERENCE from official sources...

Isn't it exciting spending time in "Dodge City on a Saturday Night"?!
That's far from proof. It's more like Car and Driver speculating on what might be while taking a short ride in a pre-production car.

As will I, but have no idea what that has to do with a QC hold

This man lobbied GM to bring the Camaro back. Great guy that I will see again this weekend in Atlanta.
So in a way, Scott was responsible for the 4th gen demise?

At least he brought it back.

Sales killed it. There was nothing wrong with the car. And yes he fought to get our beloved Camaro back.

except for the cramped interior that felt like you were sitting on the floor and the mountain dashboard, sqeaks, rattles, and huge doors, and large exterior and weak power window motors among other things. The f-body was a great racing platform but not very good daily drivers at all IMO.
