I originally wanted to make a similar observation about that picture she posted of her front yard with the nicely trimmed bushes. But after reading enough of the posts here, I thought that wording would be way too much fodder for the twisted minds that inhabit this corner of C5!

Either that, or someone crashed into a power pole.

My hubby is looking out the window, and he can see a power company crew working, so hopefully we will have power soon. We have a generator, but don't have a connection to our furnace or well pump, so we won't fire it up unless we need to plug in the fridge. Given the 10 inches of snow, that's not likely...

About 28 degrees now... We have a fire going. Just heard on the radio that 25,000 customers in our area have no power due to transmission line problems. Thinking its not a quick fix...

Sorry you guys are getting so much snow/ice & no power, Yuck! I hate it when that happens! I hope the power is back on very soon. Here it is just cold, but dry. It is supposed to start warming up tomorrow, just in time for my great escape! Tomorrow is my Friday then no more work for a week & a day. There will be little to no snow even up in the Smokey Mountains. But that is okay with me. Mostly just going for LOTS of R&R. I can't wait to jump into that Jacuzzzi with bubbles, candles & a glass of wine!!!!!!!!!!!
