I normally leave for work at 7:30. Planning to leave at 6:30 today. The news says there's already 8 inches of snow on the ground where I work, and it's still coming down... I have a fairly flat drive if I take the back roads, but it's the back roads that have NO plows or sand/salt. My husband left for work about 45 minutes ago, and called (bluetooth, handsfree calling!) to tell me people are driving like total idiots... Even with 4WD and studded tires on the SUV, not looking forward to this! My pharmacy serves primarily homeless patients - I can't call out, they'll be coming just to get inside.

This is why snow in western WA is bad. This road is State Route 7. Yup, a 5-lane state highway, and it has had ZERO snow removal... Now the snow is mixed with rain, so the slush will be ice tomorrow morning when I have to go to work....

On the flip side, my back yard is absolutely gorgeous!
