Well I owned Yoga X last night, I did much better and felt it was not as bad, and afterwards I just felt so calm I wanted to just pass out. lol.

BUT.

Yesterday I started getting alot of sinus drainage and my throat started hurting. And today my chest hurts and I'm couching. *cries* NOT FAIR. I never get sick anymore. So my great debate is do I skip my workout or not. Cause I feel like a slug.

Definitely skip it. Listen to your body, if it ain't happy it needs a break and working out sick will do you more harm than good.

Here's a sure cure for any cold type stuff...

1.5oz Jack Daniels Whiskey
1tbsp honey
1tsp lemon juice
1 cinnamon stick
1 cup hot water

Mix the whiskey, honey, lemon juice, and drop in the cinnamon stock, then pour in the hot water.

Drink and repeat until you fall asleep

We make that too but we use brandy!! Sounds good right about now, but I'm sure work would just love me sitting here drunk. I'll make some when i get home.

Took me 2 Fing hours to fab up a tool to release the fuel line clip. So I got REALLY pissed off and quit. I did get the fuel line to release before I quit. So basically, two hours, got he fuel line undone. That's it.

Today, when I get home, I'm taking it off and changing the gaskets. Yes, I could have went and got a tool, but it was one of those things where I'll be damned if I let it beat me. And I wasn't sure it wasn't a proprietary tool that only GM or Chevy could get. Spike cleared me up on that. lol

I wish I would have seen this thread before! I have been working this all alone!

Back story: I am on the road all the time. Between that and my total knee replacement(stopped me from running)... since I have retired from the Army, I had porked up big time (70 pounds worth)! So now I am putting my oldest through ROTC for the Air Force. He comes up to me and says... "Dad, you know I will Commission next year right?" I nod my head with a big ole grin "yep you know I am super proud of you!" Ben says, "I want you to pin me." Well I can't tell you how awesome that is and what an HONOR it is. "It would be an honor Son!" Ben said, "There is a catch... I want you to be in your Class "A's" when you do!" The color drained from my face as I knew there was NO WAY I could or WOULD try to wear my Dress Uniform in my current state. He wants a picture for both of us of me giving him his FIRST SALUTE in our uniforms! I know I am an old soldier but rarely I can get choked up. THIS DID! So I told him I would do it!

So I started out at Christmas last year 2010, with a total weight loss goal...70 pounds.
Starting weight was 265lbs.
As of this morning... 227lbs!!!
The down side is I can't seem to break 225! I have been hovering at this point for a month!

I still have almost a year to go to get those OTHER 30+ pounds!!

Please add me to the group!

Mark A Collier Sr, WELCOME!!

So glad to have you. Having a support system is always helpful when you go through these kinds of changes. CONGRATS on the weight loss. And that is great thing that your son is doing, and he has a sneaky way of looking out for his Dad's health.

As for the platue, do you count calories in vs calories out? I find that is the best way to bust through those stages. You can use a food journel or myfitnesspal.com to log calories and if you get a good heart rate monitor you can keep track of about how many calories you burn during a workout. Also you can try changing up your workout routine, if you are doing mostly cardio try adding more weight lifting, if you're doing mostly weight lifting try adding some cardio. Sometimes your body just gets into a workout routine and it just chills out and you gotta mix it up to shake it back into calorie burning mode.
