To all my friends here in the "Old Fart" thread - Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We'll all be getting really busy in the next few days.........it's Friday for me! I have so enjoyed getting to know you all and how nice you've all been to me! Thinking about summer, Camaro get togethers and good friends........hope I'll have lots of these next year too!

Heck, maybe we'll have our Old Fart get together at CFestIII or somewhere else!

Nice pic. Ah, memories of nice warm sunny days........... It is raining very hard here with no sign or letting up any time soon :( . It is my Friday too & my last client just cancelled so I will at least get to drive Ruby home in the rain before it gets pitch black dark. It has been a good year here on the old Farts thread (and the ladies thread). That and my Camaro club activities have kept me sane this year. I am also thankful for all my friends here and hope we can have our get-together this year. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays & a Happy New year everyone.

Here in the great state of Utah where the state animal is an orange road hazard cone - when the state awards a contract for road repair or re-building or whatever they call it - they always put in a "must finish by" date. Then there is a daily deduction from the amount paid for the contract for every day that the project runs over the "must finish by" date. And it isn't cheap. The road contractors have a huge incentive to finish road projects on time. I think there is also a small incentive for finishing ahead of time. Some small payment per day for every day ahead of the "must finish by" date. Of course the job must meet inspectors criteria. This lends itself to payoffs and corruption. But, so far we've been pretty lucky to have little or none of that kind of nonsense. The federal gov't could learn a thing or two.

Good idea! Yeah, let's all have good thougts/prayers for all of us who want to go to the Fest, that nothing bad happens, or just comes up to interfere with our trip. I want us all to get to go & have fun together!
