I’m on it! Won’t be just a head unit swap, I’m reconfiguring a good number of things. And since I actually want to get some time at the strip this year, I’m keeping the existing upgraded DI fueling and seeing how far I can push that…I know I don’t have a ton of room left. Then next winter pull the blower and send off the runners to be fitted for PI. I’ll probably also pick up a good condition A8 this summer and send it off to be built this year too then swap that in while the Whipple runners are off getting PI…

Edit: proof attached that I am, indeed, on it!

Just don't drop any of those little trans cooler clips or other small parts on that floor because they will disappear into it lol! I've got the same floor and often resort to sweeping the floor in order to find small parts that I drop.

The standard finish is a textured semi-gloss black. Polished/Color finish is optional for a $600 upgraded price. Josh has the gloss white finish on his 3.0

Yep, I paid the extra $600 to get the optional powder coat in white. My car came with the Ceramic White interior package so I always thought it was something cool to have the blower match the interior trim. I did it on the 2.9 so I felt obligated to do it with the 3.0 too.

I will have to lower the cradle. The spacer kit comes with the head unit, along with new IC coolant hoses, a new Bosch IC pump (that I likely won’t use anyway), and bolts/gaskets. Seems well thought out…but I’ll find out lol.

Josh- I didn't have to lower the cradle on mine nor use the provided spacers. However, Whipple did forget to provide a package of bolts, but they were quick to send them once notified of the mis-step.

Yup... I thought the same thing before we put the motor back in the car, as I saw that previous post from the OP stating he had to lower the cradle. We measured and went for it, and the hood closes... (if you see in the pic I posted, the 3.0 sits high, and I thought for sure the hood would not close but it does!) And I still have the hood insulation in still on mine (as I see you removed yours)
I ordered a Katech TB this morning to replace my Soler Performance 95mm TB (another item to sell), and the car needs to come back to the shop after the break in period for a dyno tune (will have a base tune to get by ATM) and at that point I will order a new belt (to get rid of that green belt....lol)

I bolted after that part of the install from the shop, as they were going to start on the meth injection set up, and buttoning down other loose ends. They need to get power back to the car, so they can drain my tank to install the DSX aux kit too. Overall, the build is moving along, so no big issues yet.

I kind of wondered if Whipple screwed up and meant the spacers are for C7 Vettes because it looked like to me the 3.0 should clear on a SS. Thanks for confirming.
