Because the forum is for Camaro enthusiasts. If you are posting here, you should have some interest in the 5th gen camaro. You should not be posting about the competition ALL the time. Or some thing like that.

Since I don't own a 5th gen Camaro I don't have a lot to say. I do chime in from time to time but I know more about Mustangs so when they come up I post my two cents. Don't offer areas for other car talk if you don't want it.

well then i reckon, i may as well leave again if that's the direction this place decided to go in my absence. i understand that there's a place for everything & (at least when i was here) garagelogic typically kept his toes on the safe side of the line - yeah, he strongly defended is ford (his freaking über-awesome, would-rape-many-member's-camaros ford) and it's kind, but (like i said, in the past) still respected that this is a camaro forum and saw both sides of the arguments.

to be honest, i took the last few months off from here because with more people getting their cars, my book-knowledge of the camaro was superseded by first-hand experience from owners, so my usefulness here was fading seeing's how i ain't got one either. i really enjoyed the times i had here speculating, laughing, and socializing with members as we awaited this new car - garagelogic included. now if he up & done something outright banworthy, then i'm just flapping my gums, but if he was just being his usual self figuring out how to take the usual boatload of ford-hating he got & prove ignorant people wrong or make practical suggestions, comparisons, etc and got banned for not praising the camaro with every post, then something's wrong with the management.

i think that was sorta on-topic for this thread

I saw some of the banter, and while I try to avoid it, I've always felt this forum to be pretty friendly. I hope that doesn't change.

At one time I was very interested in the Camaro. I've since test driven a M6 2SS/RS and am no longer interested. However I've made a lot of friends on this forum and hope it continues to be car enthusiast friendly.

I'm still planning on coming down to GA to meet folks in person as well, even if I do drive a Challenger.

Garagelogic is a good guy. I've had lunch with him and he's an all around car enthusiast. I hope he decides to come back.

Having said all that I do understand this is a Camaro forum, but putting on blinders won't make anyone more "right". Competition is a good thing. It keeps us all on our toes.

That's my .02 cents, no change for your five.
