My point was that people in large urban areas where lots of unearned wealth(real estate, etc) have more debt and spend money more frivolously compared to those that live within their means in rural areas.

You missed the point.

I took a sample, randomly picked May for the month to look at.

2005: 3,078
2006: 3,317
2007: 3,300
2008: 2,904
2009: 1,643
2010: 1,428

Decline Relative to:

2005: 54%
2006: 57%
2007: 57%
2008: 51%
2009: 13%

So almost 20% away from your 75% figure. Now, is it bad? Yes, but it isn't that bad because of who the Corvette appeals to and it won't recover as quickly for the same reason. It's a play toy. It isn't a DD for most people. So when the market goes to shit and the entire auto market dives from 16MM units per year average to 9.5MM... yeah it's going to take a hit too and probably more so but it will come back.

I think you need to calm down and not get so worked up because you are wrong. Next time bring real numbers.

Cannot do yearly because GM doesn't disclose that detail easily on an annual basis. I would have to add them up manually and I'm not prepared to devote that kind of time when a sample illustrates my point.

You can do yearly with a simple google search.

2007 CORVETTE production and # sold: 40,561 produced, 40,561 sold
2010 CORVETTE production and # sold: 12,194, ~9,883 sold so far, ~2,311 left on lots today

You do the math.

I gave you facts. You refuse to verify them yourself. That is lazy behavior.

This is beyond comical. I give you direct links to any real numbers I use and you just link Google and I am lazy? Do your own work to prove your own numbers.

You did give us real numbers. Where you got them from doesn't mean anything. You are more than capable finding more meaningful numbers just like I did. Corvette sales are at their lowest point since 1961. Considering how many more people we have in this country now than in 1961, sales right now are truly the worst ever.

What is more interesting into specific Corvette sales is the # of Z06 sales. Only 518 Z06's were produced in 2010 with ~100 still sitting on dealership lots.

This information can be used to argue that the 'middle-upper' income level people the Z06 is targeted at no longer exist or they are holding onto their money because they have no confidence in an economic rebound any time soon.

You are obviously too dense or incapable of understanding the phrase credible source.

Also, it isn't my job to vet your numbers. You should do that yourself.

I'm done with your incompetence.

Not getting involved in this, but the only thing I'll say is that when you mention sales statistics, numbers, etc., you need to cite references and sources. That's the honest thing to do. Just provide a link.
